Signature Dishes
Wifey went to get some buns for breakfast at Thyme Bakery & Cafe the other day, and she got me a caramel finger as a snack. It was a pretty small bun, and I could have finished it in two bites. The bun is really soft and fluffy, with a dab of caramel cream in the middle. Rather sweet, but I would have liked to have more of the caramel as it taste really nice. Definitely recommended!

I was at loss at what else to buy, when hubby pointed out that he tried the Milky Track before, and it was quite nice. So I decided to take one and try. The bun is very soft and slightly chewy, but was very nice. The filling of milk custard was a lot, and they were very generous with it. The custard sauce was dripping out with every bite, hence the Milky Track had a moist mouth-feel to it. Recommended only if you like very sweet custard.

一打开门就能闻到阵阵奶油香味～～这是十分好吃的cheese tart！虽然小小的，却分量刚好，多了就腻了。浓郁的芝士里掺着一点点蓝莓酱，酸酸咸咸的。饼的部分是淡淡奶油味。再配上一杯咖啡就完美了！其他还有水果tart，mini lemon meringue，banana tart。除此之外，店里的熏鸡肉片三文治也是我的最爱，几乎一个礼拜一次买来当早餐。很喜欢他们真材食料的作风，吃了就知道不是便宜的奶油。虽然比外面贵一点点，但能吃到这一口满足，就已经值回票价了！

After lunch, I went to check out the bakery nearby for some pastries for dinner. Once entered, I was seduced by the aromatic smell of fresh pastries! Even my colleagues were voicing it out and blamed me for bringing them in as they are 'forced' to buy something.I scanned around the shop to find a variety of savoury and sweet buns, cakes and mooncakes. We saw some mini mooncakes displayed near the entrance. The bakers were also preparing some fresh cupcakes which we get a glimpse of. Their chilled pastries looks very colorful and tasty too. I found this sushi roll which has filling made of cake instead of rice! How creative!In the end, I bought 3 buns, 1 savoury and 2 sweet ones. The chicken floss seaweed was very nice. It has alot of chicken floss and seaweed to go with. Not only that, there is butter in the bun which makes the bun a bit saltier and smooth. The cheese with cinnamon bun is a funny combination but the taste is more geared towards salty cheese with a hint of sweetness. The apple twin bun has apple jam inside. It's not sweet enough for my taste but I guess it's pretty decent, good for those who likes less sweet, sweet pastries.
