煎香的马鲛鱼加上主要以大量洋葱碎+辣椒碎制成的sambal,如果辣一点和没有这么甜会比较合我胃口。不过听老板娘说正宗马六甲娘惹菜是偏甜的,而槟城那带的则偏辣。呵呵呵~~~那么我可以确定这间餐馆出的确是正宗马六甲娘惹菜!!

Pie Tee 又称小金杯或帽子饼。这真的很好吃!“杯子”薄薄的,酥酥脆脆的,加上蛋碎、辣椒碎、黄瓜+芫西碎、炒过的沙葛还有辣椒酱(厨师说是他们特制的)。哇塞!!!!正!!!!!是真的好吃!!另,如没听错,老板娘好像有说如果有需要,他们是可以让大家试试自己动手DIY这小金杯的。

The Cincaluk Platter consists of fried prawns,squids and piesces of chicken ,I like the most because it was well marinated and proper coated, very crispy. As some of the dishses that cooked with Buah Keluak ~ Steamed Bendi Keluak & Stir fried sweet potato leaves .The Buah Keluak taste like salted black bean sauce, these creation were new to my taste bud. You can give it a try if you have never experience it before. For the Pongteh Chicken, taste not bad.
I prefer not the chicken breast meat but drumstick instead. We really enjoyed ourselves in DIY making Pai Tee, simple and yet delicious and not forgot the sambal belacan that gave the 'Kick' overall. Besides these you can try on their others signature dishes with plenty of choices.

很高兴能参与<开饭局> 这是我初次在峇峇娘惹餐厅用膳,很期待这道地的迍马六甲娘惹菜式有那种酸甜辣的感觉。当您步入这餐厅时会给您一种很温馨的感觉,内有怀旧布置,也有我们儿时所见过玩意儿,糖果,容器,明星旧照等等,很窝心。来这用餐的顾客不忘拍照留念。这次品尝的食物有饭前小吃Pai Tee 脆皮杯加入各种馅料,好吃,不管大人或小孩都会喜欢吃。主菜有Pongteh Chicken 配potato 和其他香料熬煮,很特别可是我个人认为有点过甜,不过老板娘建议我们和sambal belacan一起吃,结果很不错。我最喜欢的另一道是Cincaluk platter 内有炸鸡,炸苏东和炸虾都炸的超香脆,而另一道也不错的是cili ikan tenggiri ,有sambal 扑在鱼面上。最后两样菜肴是Sweet Potato Leaves 和蒸羊角豆,都用上了Buah Keluak 来烹煮,我觉得不合我的味口,不过没试过Buah Keluak 的朋友可以试吃,它可是峇峇娘惹的珍品和最爱喔。

Normally we have Bendi with sambal belachan. It is interesting to have keluah as garnishing. Keluah if you have never tasted before is very mildly like black bean paste and mildly spicy too.

The Cincaluk Platter of fried chicken, prawn and sotong is my favourite. This is a variation of the items marinated with Nam Yee (fermented bean curd) or Guiness Stout. The items are crispy with hint of cincaluk and of course salty. Excellent to go with some cold beers!

Included in the menu is Stir Fried Sweet Potato Leave with keluah sambal. The keluah give this dish a unique taste as we are more familiar with the leave fried with sambal belacan.

Generally, it was a very unique and interesting dining experience as keluah is used in most of the dishes. Keluah ingredient is the specialty of Malaccan nyonya.
The restaurant is tastefully decorated with pieces from a normal Nyonya house. It is lovely and homely. The owner and host Ms Stephanie with a friendly and warm hospitality makes your dining a perfect evening.
Even the name of the restaurant has its unique origin but I am not going to tell you here. Haha! Please visit www.thetranquerah.com for the answer and more information.

Based on the above menu for 5 persons together with steamed rice and drinks, per head expenditure is about RM40.00.

Aku sampai lewat untuk acara Makan Venture di The Tanquerah gara-gara salah jalan. Sampai je kat restoran, aku tengok ada air cincau gelas besar! Dah la memang tengah kehausan. Ha, apa lagi, bedal je la air tu dulu. Disebabkan aku sampai lewat sangat, ais pun dah cair. So, air tu rasa tawarlah tapi tak apa sebab aku memang suka air yang tawar ni Harga bagi aku agak mahal; RM6.90 untuk segelas air cincau. Wohoo!! Mahal sangat rasanya. Tapi isi cincau memang banyak.
