We all having a “shou gong zhao” which is before Chinese new year , we chosen the very expensive restaurant “The Ship” .Haha,since this is treated by boss.When we went in the restaurant,just a few customer inside the restaurant. The environment of there quite nice and decoration is beautiful just as inside the ship. I never knew there is The Ship so near my office, just behind PLaza 33 at a place called PJ Centrestage. Upon my friend's recommendation, I ordered the Neptune Taurus Delight (RM52.90) which was quite tasty. The taste of the sauce and marination has infused into the steak. It came together with a salad as appetizer so thank god I did not order any salad or appetizer earlier. the ship is an old establishment in damansara uptowni think it falls in the same league as victoria station and coliseum - the old western restaurants that first opened in malaysiathe baked seafood is really cheesy but the variety of seafood is really bountifuli found prawns, fish fillet, squid and even a few scallopsthe dish is served with a side of salad and a baked potato with sour cream

Prawns thermidor and salmon steak. The dish came with salad, corn cob and wedges. The prawns thermidor was baked to golden brown. Although it looked dark in color but it was juicy and springy. I love the taste of it. The Norwegian salmon steak was grilled and topped with mango and tomato cilantro. The salmon looked small but it was a thick piece. My dining partner enjoyed this.

Saffron and Mussel soup. This is a soup offered under the special set as I don't see it in their menu (I think). Since it was a new soup, we decided to give it a try. The soup came with lots of saffron and 2 mussels together with its shell. I took a soup and the saffron taste was too strong for my liking. The mussels were big and juicy too. My dining partner enjoyed this and finished the whole bowl.

Squid cocktail. The Squid cocktail was on the special set menu and we ordered it. It came with squid, onions, tomatoes, lettuce and some herbs. The sauce was transparent color instead of the normal prawn cocktail sauce. This sauce was aromatic and has some sort of tanginess in it. I suspect lime / lemon was one of the ingredients. The squid were big and fresh. It was quite a unique taste.

Had my first turkey dinner at the Ship back in 2012 for celebrating Christmas Eve with my wife. The restaurant is easy to find but have limited parking especially during public holiday. Environment was nice and the staff are friendly.For appetizer, we order shrimp salad, the taste was ok, you don't feel the salty water taste from the shrimp and the sauce was sweet and abit sour.As for main course, we ordered turkey as we never try before, since we never try before, so we can't really compare. first time hear at the ship restaurant.. can say its like fine dining place, very nice decoration and good environment there.. the service is very good too i ordered my favorite mushroom soup and another seafood set.. the mushroom soup taste quite nice, but the seafood not so good.. if you eat it hot still ok, but there is too much to eat.. and i accidentally left the soft shell crab to last one to eat and it taste really terrible.. its not crispy at all, and there is the weird egg smell in it

Black pepper chicken. The black pepper chicken was served together with fries, long bean, cauliflower and carrots. The chicken was flooded with the black pepper sauce. The sauce was dark, concentrated and very peppery spicy. I love how "spicy" the sauce was. The grilled chicken was nicely done, the meat was moist and not dry. The skin was thick and oily though.

Lamb Chop. The lamb chop was served with fries, long bean and cauliflower. The lamb chop was big pieces but I think it had many parts quite tough. It has a lot of fats too which make it quite oily. The lamb has strong lamb taste and it was slightly salty. I find myself very tiring cutting through all the lamb chops. The fries were thickly cut and it was soft and crispy.

Ribeye. The ribeye was served alongside fries, corn, broccoli and tomato. We ordered medium-well and this dish came just nicely done. We noticed that if the restaurant is not packed, the chef will nicely grilled the steak to the done-ness that we prefer. This ribeye was tender and juicy, not tough at all. Although it does not have much marination, the beef just tasted nice by itself.

Spare Ribs. The spare ribs were served alongside a corn, broccoli, grilled potato and tomato. The spare ribs were a big piece and it was quite meaty. The potato was not soft. The meat was not too tender as it was slightly towards well-done. The marination of the spare ribs were not strong and it was quite sweet. This was just a normal spare ribs and nothing to shout about.

Escargots. The Ship serves the best escargots in town. When we dining in a big party, we will ordered one dozen. However, that day it was only two of it, so we ordered half dozen. The escargots were flooded with the garlic cheese butter gravy. The gravy was extremely thick and filled with garlic pieces. It was very garlic-ky (my favourite) and not too salty. The escargots were soft.
