I like Japanese food a lot but this outlet really bad with how they manage their food when preparing them at the open kitchen by the sushi bar. The good news is I did not have any food poisoning or stomach discomfort of any kind after the meal. So if I ever do return to this place, I probably order cooked items done in the kitchen only. I would like to deceive myself and that what I don’t see is not going to harm me. Now the Kakiage soba was good. The portion nicely served for one person.

I had the Chicken teriyaki and just as you thought nothing could go wrong with chicken teriyaki, I saw the most horrible thing and that really freak me out a bit. I’m not sure if it was a fortunate thing, but I did notice how foods were prepared while sitting at the sushi bar. The chefs were wearing plastic gloves, and that certainly kept the food sanitary from direct contact with their hands. However, they also touch everything else with the plastic gloves on. The love for avocado is what drives me to order anything with avocado in it. Fan of avocado should know that it goes really well with the soft shell crab. There is also the Inari soft shell crab and the Inari with crab and roe for those fan of Inari. Of which I don't find it very fascinating but was good in some way as the texture of soft shell crab usually is more outstanding compared to the other ingredients used which are slightly softer. Don't forget the comforting sip of green tea.

As for the crab lovers, try their soft shell sushi. I ordered the Soft shell crab maki and the spider roll. The spider roll is heavenly when combined with the avocado on top of the roll.

The sudden crave to have proper sushi suddenly rushed in last month and no way I was going to just ignore that. Then, gradually work your way up to those with a stronger taste. So I started with Tai (sea beam) and Hirame (flounder) but they were out of it. Which was my first disappointment, but what’s worst was my Tai sushi being served last instead of first.However, the good news is they were really fresh.

Good thing the salmon made everything alright. It kind of redeemed themselves. I am guessing there should not be any problem ordering this due to the high demand from customers. Although I really didn’t like how they present the sushi all cramped up on a single plate.

This is my first time seeing the soft shell crab in a whole! (usually it will be chopped into pieces)
The portion is extremely small so it's kinda snack only..
It's crispy at the outside but soft inside..
Neither too salty nor tasteless.. just perfect..
Nothing is perfect, so its a little oily but still acceptable..
I still prefer the soft shell crab sushi instead of putting this whole crab into my mouth.

The salmon belly here is very delicious to eat. It is not very oily but then at the same time it is so fresh. Since they always comes in three pieces, I always eat in three different way. The first way is to eat it without dipping any sauce. Eating like that able to taste the main taste of the salmon. Then second is just dip a bit soya sauce with the salmon, thirdly only dip with soya sauce together with the wasabi.

If talking about sushi, then you should come to this restaurant. Their sushi is very fresh. The seaweed is still crunchy when they served you. Unlike some other sushi where the seaweed already soft. Their sushi is very nice to eat especially when you dipped the wasabi with shoyu together. The wasabi brings the excite into you nose. You might tears out some but it is ok.

Each and every were fresh, especially the seaweed, I like the special savoury taste that complements the simple tofu.

Sushi Zanmai dressing came in light orange colour is my favourite among all like sesame dressing or vinegar based dressing. This is creamy yet light, filled with finely chopped onions. I never want to waste a single drop of it so I polished the bowl clean

Soft Shell Crab Maki. Six pieces of soft shell crab maki was served on top of mayonnaise sauce. The fried soft shell crab was very crunchy and it was not oily at all. It was slightly salty though. There was generous amount of the soft shell crab and it filled the maki to the brim. The crab was wrapped with a layer of seaweed, which was slightly bitter. The rice roll was not too thick, just nice. With the sweetness from mayonnaise, this maki tasted delicious.

Rokka Sashimi. This sashimi platter came with tuna, yellow-tail, salmon, sweet shrimp, octopus, cuttlefish. The portion was three pieces each. The tuna, yellow-tail and salmon sashimi were fresh, thick and succulent. The cuttlefish was fresh too and crunchy in texture. The octopus was very chewy and has strong “fishy” smell. The shrimp was slimy, soft and sticky, very weird texture. Next time I will just stick with the normal sashimi.

This top shell was seasoned with kimchi flavour. The seasoning tasted slightly spicy and tomato-ish, and slightly tangy in flavour.
