Nestled on the Pacific Regency's 23rd floor, this nicely furnished restaurant provides tongue-numbing Thai cuisine amid eye-catching views of KL's skyline. The setting is serene and the service is stellar, all but ensuring a pleasant evening (even if the food isn't exactly rave-worthy). Thick prawn soup with lemongrass & mushrooms. Spicy and sour _ our two least favorite sensations for the tastebuds. But tom yam lovers should have no complaints. Prawns in green curry with young coconut flesh.

Could have used more oysters in it, but that's a minor quibble, since we certainly enjoyed every bite. Soft-shell crab sauteed with egg. Sinfully scrumptious

 Sea bass steamed with lemon & chilli sauce. A fiery recipe, but not overwhelmingly so; we could still savor the fish's natural sweetness without having to constantly gulp down cold water.

Among the similar choices that can be found, why not try something a little bit different from the rest by visiting Soi23 at Pacific regency Hotel Suites?

Perched on a hill just opposite KL Tower, Soi 23 is a hidden gem on level 23 that is found in a boutique hotel ; Pacific Regency Hotel Suites, Kuala Lumpur. Serving Northern Thai influenced cuisines, Soi23 has over the years garnered rave reviews among its critics and had won several awards to date.
For the month of July, an array of sumptuous traditional Malay menu injected with a dash of Thai culinary flaourd prepared specially by Cahef Suphakit Khammungkhun, you will be hard pressed on which you should start with. As a rule of thumb, it's always good start with something sweet to whet your appetite.
