We love sushi!! So we decided to have it in The Curve shopping mall! Nice environment and staff are friendly here! We don't order any main meals but only seeking for sushi on the rolling machine. For those not on the machine roll, we ordered separately from the staff! The sushi we ate were: inari bean curd sushi, prawn wrapped sushi, potato side dish, octopus, normal crab or cucumber sushi roll! Enjoying this moment very much and overall it taste delicious!!

My mom is a fan of inari sushi but not me. I don't mind trying one though. I prefer my inari to be stuffed with more stuffings like crabmeat but my mom prefers it plain. So out of curiosity, I tried the plain inari sushi. It was alright, sweet tofu skin with rice. I still dip it in shoyu and wasabi because I prefer my sushi to be savoury and slightly spicy. Sweet sushi is still unique to me and it will take some time to sink in, if at all.

The tuna sushi tasted quite decent. The amount of mayo versus the amount of fish flakes was adequent so it didn't feel overwhelmed with creamy mayo nor did it taste dry with the fish flakes. The seaweed was already softened with served so it wasn't so fresh. It was a bit hard to bite off. It can be quite a mouthful if 1 whole sushi is eaten. I like mine served with a bit of shoyu and wasabi for the extra kick!

Although cheap, this plate of edamame is not exactly worth it. The skin is very thick so we are left with a small bean. The beans were also stuck with the tiny branch and it can be quite annoying eating off it. And we finish off pretty quickly because of the small portion. In the end we have to get another plate. It taste decent though and would be great to go with beer.

Ordered fresh from the menu, the plate of ebiko is made fresh. That is one of the privilege that sakae offers. Thousands of transluscent roe covered the top layer of the sushi and wrapped with seaweed. Although the seaweed was quite soft when served, it's not a major concern. The ebiko was fresh and I like the popping texture in my mouse. Mix together with some shoyu and wasabi for some extra flavour or eaten on its own to savour the roe goodness.

My mom is a big fan of sushi and we brought her to one for snacking. We ordered the salmon sashimi and find it pretty decent. Although there were only 3 pieces on the plate, the meat had a moderate cut. It was fresh and melts in the mouth. The condiments attached to the fish slices were also fresh. The lemon gives an extra zesty flavour when mix in with shoyu and wasabi.

The salad might not have been the best salad I have had, and remembering the best would be the tofu salad in the zanmai sushi. This one is bland and unappetising compared to the one with those soft tofu. But this is a good choice to replenish the need for vegetable in your diet. However, when having sushi, it is not common to order salad, but yet there are items that is very suitable to replenish vegetable in your diet. And that I am referring to the california handroll. i came here with my friend to order some of the desserts after the heavy meal in other restaurant and came here to the curve to enjoy the food here. many cafe and restaurant here and the desserts seems nothing much and thinking of the mochi in japanese style and just dine in at sakae sushi them mochi is soft enough and inside have the tasty black sesame good and tasty .

i like to dine in at sakae sushi for here i can have many choices of the sushi and i like to dip with the soy sauce. the ebiko roe is wrapped inside the nicely taufu and also the seaweed is fresh enough. the rice is sticky enough and this sushi is really tasty. the octopus sushi also taste great with added some wasabi on top of it. service is ok here consider nice and friendly

Beef Ramen. The beef ramen came with fish paste slice, vegetables and beef slices. The ramen soup was clear and it was nice to drink actually, not too salty, but it has taste in it. The fish paste slices were springy. The beef slices were thin but it was over-cooked since it was simmered in the hot broth. I wish it could be more tender then this beef ramen would be a delicious one.

Soft Shell Crab Set. The set came with chawanmushi, sashimi, jelly fish, miso soup and rice. The soft shell crab being stacked on top of the spicy tofu sauce. The soft shell crab was crispy at first but when it was simmered in the spicy tofu sauce for too long, it became soggy. The spicy tofu sauce was actually not too spicy, it was an unique flavour for Japanese dining.

The Curve has so many eating choices that sometimes when you wanna eat Japanese food but feels too tired to explore the various choices and browse through their menu; then the easiest thing is just head straight to Sakae Sushi. You can never go wrong with it. Choices are aplenty and price's super reasonable too. Plus you can choose self-order via the screen next to you and hey presto.. the food arrives promptly. I love their grilled baby squid, Chicken Teriyaki Bento, Sashimi Benot, Grilled Sab

Mentaiko salmon sushi. Since the first time I was introduced to mentaiko, I immediately fell in love with the taste. Whenever I patron a Japanese chain, I will order it. Sakae's mentaiko salmon sushi was nicely done. The mentaiko was being burnt till aromatic and slightly salty. The salmon was fresh and thickly cut. The whole sushi was indeed flavourful and I would like to have another plate.

Salmon Mayo Sushi. The sushi was topped with bonito flakes. This version was slightly different version of the normal salmon sushi. This was topped with mayonnaise, bonito flakes and tiny amount of spring onions. The salmon was fresh and sweet. The mayonnaise and bonita flakes gave the sushi a tad of saltiness. Overall, this was a fresh, sweet and salty sushi.
