Every time I feel like eating Chicken Hor Fun, I will definitely come here for the delicious smooth glistening chicken and also for the smooth hor fun (RM 9.50) and proximity to my place. As usual, I ordered the white steamed chicken to be eaten with the slippery hor fun. It reminds me of Ipoh. I also liked the chicken rice chili here which is not that spicy. My friend ordered the dry styled chicken with noodles for RM 9.50. As side dish, we also ordered the fishballs (large) for RM 8.50 for 12

My friend ordered the dry styled chicken with noodles for RM 9.50.

As side dish, we also ordered the fishballs (large) for RM 8.50 for 12 soft fishballs. I don't usually order fishballs separately but will eat if someone orders this.

The herbal tea costs RM 2.50 and thank god it was not too sweet.

Restoran Prosperity Bowl is a Chinese restaurant which their main selling point is *points at the wall*, chicken! not your usual chicken though..

it’s garden chicken 菜园鸡 which is free from growth hormones/vaccines, and their flesh is meaty and lean because they get to roam around instead of being coop up in narrow fences. i suppose it’s considered as free-range poultry, correct me if i’m wrong.

menu on the wall and also their slogan, sort of, which literally translates to

we don’t want to be the biggest (in the market), but we want to be the best!

that’s the spirit huh!

Village Chicken (thigh part) {highly recommended}
no one should walk out Restoran Prosperity Bowl without ordering their signature dish! NO ONE. the meat texture is exactly what they claim, lean, meaty (yet tender), succulent. you can have it as it is, or complement it with a plate of rice (chicken + rice only RM 6). we weren’t in the mood for rice..

Bean Sprouts | RM 3
of course i would prefer Ipoh’s stubby and juicy bean sprout anytime! hehe

i don’t know the total amount paid for this meal, but judging from their menu, it’s pretty reasonable. better quality poultry is used here and price is not compromised. surprisingly not many bloggers blogged about this eatery before.

My colleagues were supposed to go and eat at Tian Pin today for lunch. But my as the food lover who loves trying a variety and different food items and eateries all the time, was thinking where to suggest for a more unique food experience. Then, I guess God arranged that my colleague parked his car right in front of Properity Bowl, and I was attracted by the big rooster in the backdrop and also signboard. I suggested that we try this shop since we have never tasted the food here. And it turned out that my choice was right and the best lunch experience ever for these few weeks! Somehow eating tasty food makes my day and I am sure yours today!

Since the signature dish is the Ipoh Hor Fun with steamed chicken drumstick (RM8), me and my colleagues ordered this! The Ipoh chicken was so soft and smooth. And the Hor Fun was so slippery and smooth and translucent that its taste and look reminded me of the one I had in Ipoh! Talk about authentic Ipoh Hor Fun and here is THE ONE! We ordered a plate of fat crunchy juicy bean sprouts. The dried style Ipoh Hor Fun also looked tasty!

The Chicken Rice chilli? It was heaven! So much so that I finished the last drop of the bottle! I guess they have to prepare one full bottle for me the next time!

The pumpkin tong sui (sweet dessert) came in a puree form with pieces of organic pumpkin that has not dissolved. For me, I am not a pumpkin fan hence I did not like in in pieces and preferred if it was blended well into the puree.

I have ordered the Original Sweet Organic Passionfruit juice (RM 5) which tasted nothing like the fruit juice outside. The kind and friendly uncle explained to us that the passionfruit is fully organic and he chose the yellow skinned passionfruit which is not as easily available as the red-skinned ones. The taste was amazing, not too sour but not bland and it tasted spectacular. No wonder it tasted amazing since it was made using 3 passionfruits! Since we were so friendly and interactive, the old uncle gave me one real passiofruit as a gift after boasting and showing us the yellow fruit, which was not commonly sold in the market such as the red-skinned ones.

Talk about passion and originality! Definitely a second visit for all of us! I guess we do not need to go all the way to Ipoh for Ipoh Hor Fun from now on!

Dry kuey teow with fish balls and chicken. Since I don’t feel like eating rice, I ordered the dry kueyteow. It came with chicken meat and shredded chicken, alongside a bowl of fish ball soup. The dry kueyteow was quite sweet, the soy sauce that they used was too sweet, I think. The sweetness made the dining experience not so enjoyable. The shredded chicken was rough, but it was ok. The fish balls were smooth and springy.

Steam village chicken with rice. The restaurant is famous for its village chicken that does not have antibiotics, thus the restaurant was quite full house when we reached. The portion of the chicken was quite small, it might not be enough for a big eater. The meat was smooth but slightly hard compared to the normal chicken. The soy sauce was slightly salty while the rice was fragrant with oil.
