As I was passing by Purple Cane Tea Art Centre, I caught a whiff of a nice aroma of herbs. Then I saw a small pot of boiling herbs. Upon closer inspection, it was tea eggs! RM1.20 for an egg, it was quite decent, so decided to get one. Since I don't eat egg yolk, I gave it to hubby. The egg had a nice herb taste to it. It was also slightly marbled, due to the fact that they crack the eggs while it is boiling in the herbs. Quite recommended!

Feeling like snacking, I passed by Purple Cane tea shop. While it sells a variety of tea, what caught my eyes were the pot of eggs in front of the shop. The smell of herbs is enough to drive me over. I waited for awhile before attacking the egg. To cool it down, I rub the bag with both my hands and the shell was peeled off nicely. Th

The egg was fragrant with herbal essences. It's good even without putting soya sauce or pepper as the herbs had seeped thru the egg and enveloped it with herbal goodness. The texture of the egg was solid and the yolk also taste of herbal essences. It was a rewarding snack.
