This place seems to have lost its touch. It used to be the defacto nasi lemak joint but sadly no more. Now the nasi lemak is average at best. Great selection of sides but the rice lacks coconut flavour and the sambal just so so. Price wise reasonable being in KL however they need to find their flavours again or soon will just be forgotten.

Well, almost a decade ago I had my first trip to the famous Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa's stall in Kampung Baru with my colleagues and fell in love with it. The rice was fragrant with a hint of pandan, the sambal sauce was simply heavenly and the chicken crunch. This nasi lemak used to be famous back then. You need to queue up just to buy nasi lemak early in the morning and also during night. But todays this nasi lemak is just like an ordinary nasi lemak. The price is expensive, the lauk is just a little and the aroma of the nasi is not like it used to be, nice, pandan leaves kind of smell. They have an outlet in Taman Melati (if not mistaken) and the restaurant is closed already.

After my memorable experience of nasi lemak at Restoran Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa, I'm coming back again for more dishes for my dinner!This time, I tried their plain old Mee Goreng and a cup of hot teh tarik. The mee goreng comes in a big portion with a few prawn and squid inside although it is not so many. The noodle was very good with a hint of spiciness insides. I would prefer it they are not so stingy with the vege as I only found 2 small pieces of it inside.

Restoran Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa is very famous and there are lots of branches around KL alone. Yes, they are famous just for their nasi lemak and that is the reason I'm here today as well, which is to try their signature nasi lemak.
