It is restaurant that sell chinese traditional soup and some dishes. We have tried the herbal chicken soup. The soup is just nice, wont be too oily. The soup is rich in herbal tastes. The thai style chicken is served with thai sauce with crispy fried chicken. The overall tastes is a bit sour and sweet. the services there also quite good. the food is served fast, less than 5 minutes continue reading

This restaurant's name might not suggest it, but this is a strictly Chinese establishment, serving pork-and-chicken soups and stews with a home-cooked flavor. Hidden from plain view off Old Klang Road (with another branch in Lot 10's Hutong), here's the place to sip nearly every type of basic traditional broth.Landing in hot soup, from ones with lotus roots to others with carrots and barley. From water chestnuts to watercress too. Taste-wise, we've had better, but we've had worse. RM8 per bowl; two might be able to share. Fans of braised meat can lick their lips over this pork belly, though some might turn up their noses at the copious fatty bits in this bowl. "Feet And Feet," comprising chicken claws and pork trotters. Feet won't fail us now. Pork rib curry, flavorful and fulfilling. Somewhat spicier than expected though. continue reading

Thanks to Groupon deal, mum and I get to eat at Le Porc Dor in Old Kland Road for a dinner meal at a cheap price. We got the meal for two people at RM 19.00 instead of RM 32.00. But the portion given for each dish is quite small. According to them, food in Le Porc Dor are cooked without adding MSG which is good because this means we can eat healthily over here.Winter Melon Barley SoupI liked the barley bits in the soup but the soup taste weird. It is like those soup being kept overnight. Chinese sausages with steamed chicken and black fungusThe steamed chicken was steamed into a soft texture. I do not need to use force to remove the meat from its bone. The sausage were quite fragrant. Nice to eat with plain rice. The combination of chinese sausage with chicken actually tasted quite similar to "loh mai kai" also known as glutionous chicken rice.Steamed pork slices with yamThe yam slices were cooked into a very soft texture. Just the way I like. But I find the taste is quite salty and the pork were quite oily with a layer of fat on the surface of the pork, without much meat on the pork slices.VegetablesThe vegetable used is choy sum. A very simple vege prepared by blanching in hot water and added with some oyster sauce. I actually enjoyed this dish because it is not oily at all. Indeed a healthy way to detox all the oily dishes above, especially the steamed pork slices with yam. continue reading
