I super, super love this. Must-try! Tastes great (probably due to lard oil being use instead of regular commercial oil) The sliced bitter gourds mixed up well with the texture of the omelette (beaten from 2-3 eggs); creating the perfect bitter-savory-eggy balance. Perfect to have alongside your favorite noodles or just even to munch on its' own. Super yummy!

I know not everybody fathoms the idea of consuming frogs legs (sounds kind of gross I know ).. but actually it's not as bad as it sounds. To me they taste more like chicken thighs haa haa.. but it's true! At Kim Lian Kee, this dish is prepared the good ol' traditional way.. stir fry with lots of scallions and sliced ginger. They marinade the frog legs really well and the flavors really goes through. Worth a try

This Fried Hor Fun/ Kuey Teow is done dry-style; meaning it tastes more like the Penang Char Kuey Teow. Not bad, not bad at all. Although I do find I much prefer Papparich's or Lorong Seratus Tahun's version.. haa haa But it's really not bad at all. The hor fun's silky and smooth, with generous amounts of bean sprouts, prawns and cockles. Worth a try for the heck of it.

Although many people do not think of Mee Suah as a proper noodle meal (mainly because of it's thin strands I suppose); I however find that it makes the perfect light meal for weight watchers :-) It's not too filling, nor too fattening...just nice! The mee suah is fried with enough "wok hei" in it, and is generously peppered with bean sprouts, chillies, prawns, shredded pork meat and green veges. Nice!

Though Kim Lian Kee is most famous for their KL Hokkien Noodles, do not discount off their Claypot Noodles series just yet. Do give it a try.. it really aint bad! Especially their Lou Shee Fun. The Lou Shee Fun noodles are smooth and silky.. and when drenched in those thick delicious black soya sauce mix that Kim Lian Kee is well known for (the same sauce they use to fry their Hokkien noodles).. it creates the perfect Lou Shee Fun with generous portions of minced pork in it.. nice

Although nowadays the famous Kim Lian Kee has expanded its' wings and opened up several other branches across KL; this restaurant at Jalan Petaling will forever be known as it's original, first ever branch. Kim Lian Kee is one of the olderst restaurants in Petaling Streets which is the one of the first who served Hokkien Style Fried Mee in KL. We started with the Hokkien Style Fried Mee and fried Hor Fun. The Hokkien Mee is indeed very delicious. There are plenty of “ wok hei “and pork lard coupled with some fresh ingredients such as pork slices, cabbage and prawn. The Hor Fun is equally tasty too! Thumbs up!

Chee Cheong Fun with Sweet Sauce, Chili Sauce and Green Chilli Pickle
This tasted spicy and sweet. The sauce was really thick. Somehow the chee cheong fun was thick too, it became juicy as it absorbed a lot of the sauces

The only chances for me to order their food is because I need some seats so that I can order some other food from other stalls. However the hokkien mee at here actually not bad in taste. They use enough of dark sauce and they choose fat noodle. The noodle smell nice with some pork lard on it. The noodle is very biteful and very filling.

Started from a tiny hawker stall at Petaling Street, Kim Lian Kee has a long history in making the world class fried hokkien noodles. It has been featured in countless magazines and foodies' blogs/reviews. Indeed the taste is awesome, the sauce used to stir fry the hokkien noodles is tasty, plus there are a lots of crispy pork lard residues, it is sinfully yummy!! Also, with handful amount of cabbages in the noodles, making the dish not oily at all.
