Kaminabe. The presentation of this kaminabe was interesting one, the ingredients were being put on top of a piece of paper and being boiled. The ingredients wre prawns, clams and oyster mushrooms. The soup was not too salty, it was quite nice to drink. The prawns were fresh as well as the clams. This was a good bowl of soup on a rainy night. We totally enjoyed this dish.

Fugu Special Bento Set. The Fugu special bento set was indeed a luxurious one, it has unagi, tempura, saba fish and sashimi. The bento also with chawanmushi, miso soup, fruits, rice, potato salad as well as shredded salad. The tempura was crispy and the prawns were fresh. The unagi was grilled nicely and it has the sweet taste. The saba fish was good too. It was a filling dinner.

Yakiudon. I would expect yaki udon to be dry version, but Fugu Neo's yaki udon was very wet version. It was too moist for my liking. The udon was extreme soft which I think it was being over-boiled. I would prefer my udon to be more springy instead. The ingredients used were prawns, scallop, egg and beansprouts. The taste was not bad just the presentation could be improved more.

Yakinabe. The hot pot came with tempura prawns, raw egg, Chinese black mushroom, carrots, chicken slices and udon. I stirred the raw egg into the soup. The soup was hot, not too sweet. The prawn tempura was big succulent and crispy, even though it was stuck in the broth. The udon was al-dante, very nice to eat. The mushoom was juicy. It was a nice hot pot during a cold weather.

The chicken teppanyaki came with beansprouts and topped with fried garlic. The chicken chunks were quite salty and had to eat it with rice or the beansprouts. Despite that, it was nicely cooked, and the chicken skin was crispy, while the meat was tender. I tasted some peppery taste on the chicken as well, which I like. The beansprout was crispy and tasted normal.

The garlic fried rice was really a must-order in this restaurant. It came in quite a big portion and the aroma of the fried garlic flew through the air. Each and every bits of the rice was well coated with egg and the rice does not stick to each other. The fried garlic was big pieces and crispy. It was salty if eaten by itself but when mixed together with the rice, it was very good.

The beef shabu shabu came with a dipping sauce. It consisted some udon, beef slices, cabbage and carrot slices only. It was served in a hot pot with a stove in order to keep the boiling temperature. The soup was salty and quite clear. The cabbage and carrot added some sweetness to the soup. The beef slices were thinly cut and easy to chew. Quite a nice bowl of soup.

Whenever I feel hungry, I would order a California Roll to go with my main meal. That day, was the day I felt like having a big appetite. Fugu’s version of California Roll was huge! It has lettuce, cucumber, crab stick, avocado topped with crab roe. The rice roll was big portion too. The whole combination was sweet and when dipped with wasabi, it was spicy. All the ingredients used were fresh and it is a must-order in this shop.

The beef sukiyaki was good to share for two people. It came in a hot pot with a stove at the bottom. It has a lot of ingredients such as glass noodle, black mushrooms, naruto, beef slices and cabbage. I would prefer they separate the beef slices from the hot pot and let the customer to do the cooking, because when it was served, the beef was cooked till well done and it was slightly tough. The sukiyaki soup was sweet and I finished till the last drop of it.

Pattaya Roll, stuffed with soft-shell crab with avocado, fried beets, cashew nuts & Thai chili sauce. None of these rolls taste earth-shatteringly revelatory, but they're all enjoyable. Generously packed with fresh ingredients that combine well together.

Pink Lady Roll, with salmon, tuna, capelin roe, egg & avocado in pink soy wrap. Prices are reasonable; most of the makis cost around RM20-30.

Sake and wine are also available. But no fugu, despite the outlet's name.
