Signature Dishes
A classic margherita pizza, around 10 inches wide. A very simple dish but packed with tomato and meaty goodness. This particular piece of pizza wasn't very good but it wasn't that bad either. The crust was pretty crispy and thin, the sauce was pretty decent, the cheese was somewhat creamy, although I felt that it was a little weird. Aesthetically it looked horrible, but the flavours were pretty decent. Not to mention it is cheap, so I guess its pretty worthwhile.

a dish my friend ordered, the mashed potato salad. we wanted to feel aibit healthy by ordering this LOL. the potato were mashed quite nicely and i think it did fit the 'mashed' idea so no complaints about that. unlike classic mashed potatos that were served warm, this one was served ice cold as benefitting to the salad name. it is also served with lettuce underneath it, to be eaten together. it is seasoned with a little bit pepper and salt too.

It was waaaaaaayyy before I graduated from Diploma in Tourism Management that Don and I went to Backofen at Taylor’s Univerisy, which was still quite new in the campus. I still visit this restaurant with my girls today, and I have been in love with their Big Breakfast Set, even though it’s extremely filling.This plate of Potato Salad topped with their homemade creamy mayonnaise was so delicious, partly due to my love for potatoes. We nodded our heads once we tasted a mouthful of it. Just a few days ago, I ordered myself a plate of Chicken Schnitzel that came together with a small bunch of potato salad. It was slightly less creamy than it used to be, but still tasted as great.However, it is not recommended to be consumed as a side dish, because the portion might be too huge for most people.Don ordered Spaghetti Carbonara cooked with thick, creamy sauce. The awesome smell assailed my nostrils upon serving. In addition, I had been receiving positive feedback all the while, from my friends who had given it a good try.You be the judge!I ordered Grilled Chicken topped with mushroom sauce, served together with grilled potatoes. I personally think that the boneless chicken could have been slightly bigger, but the sauce was yummy.Just for your information, the comments are based on my opinion a few years back, and it does not mean that everything would be the same today, unless mentioned above. If you happen to be a big eater and would like to have heavy breakfast in the morning, go for their Big Breakfast Set. It's been a great meal when I only have an hour break in between. Also, they only serve breakfast in the morning, and only breakfast.

Among the many food outlets here in Taylor's, this is probably one of our most visited places due to the food, ambiance and service. This is the dish my friends often order, the Spicy Fried Spaghetti. It is one of the signature dishes here at Backofen. The portion is alright and it is priced at RM 11 a plate. As the name suggests, this is spicy! In fact, it was too spicy for me but I can't take spicy food though.

My friends bought me a piece of chocolate cake from Backiofen as my birthday cake.I ate the cake after lunch. Although I am very full after my lunch, but i am still impressed by the delicious chocolate cake Unlike secret recipe, I did not feel any sign of "bored" even after eating half of the cake. Their chocolate is not too sweet, but with a rich chocolate flavour.Besides, the cake is not too soft, which is my liking.Their cake shop is nice decorated too. There are a variety choices of cakes over there.
