Thanks to my friend who hails from Air Tawar, got me this local delights on the way she coming back to KL from her hometown. Unlike the usual similar ‘ketupat palas’ that we seen here, albeit smaller size, this triangular kueh comes with some filing in it. You would find some baked mung bean in between the glutinous sticky rice parcels that are soft and hint of fragrance from the palm leaves wrapper. You would find some baked mung bean in between the glutinous sticky rice parcels that are soft and hint of fragrance from the palm leaves wrapper. Although it looks bit bland since the triangular parcel is in mostly white grain, you still can taste some mild saltiness and the nice aroma of the mung bean. I personally quite like it for it is a good substitute of Lo Mai Kai
