這家品珍茶樓位於美羅市,是幾十年的老號字。從吉隆坡開車北上怡保的過路客,必定會在這間老店購買馳名全馬的雞仔餅作為手信。今天我們是來買東西的,又是來吃午餐的。店內掛了很多舊照片,增加了他的歲月痕跡。藥材口味鴨腿湯,每盅都盛有一整隻鴨腿,浸泡在香濃美味的藥材湯裏,鴨肉的精華全都溶入湯內這道鴨腿麵的鴨腿湯味道很像台式當歸鴨麵線湯頭,藥材味很濃郁甘甜至於鴨肉的口感味道,有入味,肉質已經被燉的非常軟嫩配上香港人喜歡吃的細麵,香濃美味,令人心花怒放。再配上一杯薏米水,像回到了幾十年前的香港。這裡沒有華麗的裝修、精美的菜色,這種樸實老字號的小店,更能打動我的心。 繼續閱讀

Before heading into Ipoh town, a favourite place that my family loves to stop by for an afternoon meal is Pun Chun. This is a restaurant which we have frequented quite a number of times over the years and whenever we get the chance, it's definitely a place that we will go to for lunch when we're on a roadtrip.This afternoon, we stopped by there and immediately I was taken back to my childhood days where my mom would order food for me then try to feed me. Unsuccessfully might I add because I am always determined to feed myself. Without fail we have to order the double-boiled chicken leg soup. I remember this tasting stronger back then but today, it was somewhat lighter in essence. However it is still good because the flavour of the meat and vegetables has seeped into the liqud which gives it this beautiful aroma. This, I finished it all myself without any effort. Then I had the Dried Wantan Noodles with Char Siew. This is my absolute favourite because the noodles are springy with a bite to it, perfectly coated in the savoury but also sweet sauce. The taste hasn't changed very much which is a good thing and neither did the portions. The wantans are nicely filled with meat and tasted nice especially when eaten hot. I really enjoyed my first meal in Ipoh. I only wish I could eat this more often. 繼續閱讀

The shop is just at the main road of Bidor Town,u can SEE it at ur right hand side if u coming from KL North -south Highway....Pun Chun Chicken Biscuits & Restaurant has been around for more than 70 years now. They specialise in their herbal duck noodles and their Chicken Biscuits .But according to some of my friends who have eaten there many years ago, the quality has dropped...same as me...Just bcoz of this meal ,i been waitting for 20 minute for waitress to take order and wait another 30 minute for the noodles.... ;(makes me no mood to eat liao....till the end still need to eat....coz wait damm long d....comment that i can give for the noodles is really normal...just the herb duck is speacial....The herbal taste of the duck soup is quite strong.Just bcoz of this meal ,i been waitting for 20 minute for waitress to take order and wait another 30 minute for the noodles.... ;(makes me no mood to eat liao....till the end still need to eat....coz wait damm long d....comment that i can give for the noodles is really normal...just the herb duck is speacial....The herbal taste of the duck soup is quite strong.Just bcoz of this meal ,i been waitting for 20 minute for waitress to take order and wait another 30 minute for the noodles.... ;(makes me no mood to eat liao....till the end still need to eat....coz wait damm long d....comment that i can give for the noodles is really normal...just the herb duck is speacial....The herbal taste of the duck soup is quite strong.i get some of this after my meal,take away for my families n friends.....The HistoryTHE Pun Chun restaurant is a venerable 70-year-old establishment that’s well-known for its chicken biscuits and ngap pei meen (duck thigh noodles). Served with egg noodles, the steamed duck soup is cooked with Chinese herbs such as wolfberries (kei chee), pak kei, wai san, tong sum and dried longan. The herbal flavour is light and elegant, and the duck is steamed to flavourful tenderness.The kopitiam has been run by the Khong family since 1938 and is now under the care of the matriarch, Chan Yoke Ooi.Apart from the duck noodles, the wantan noodles with plump dumplings and the taro puffs (woo kok) are also very good. 好吃的芋角除了叉烧之外,外皮也是要炸到很酥脆,吃下去芋头的质感很柔软,爱上那种绵密的口感,里面还有很香的叉烧,叉烧的味道比较重,所以吃起来比较咸。放久了还能维持外皮的脆度,很难的。 繼續閱讀

dining here at Restoran Pun Chun 品珍酒楼(美罗)有限公司 is a great experience and i came here early at 11am on the way driving back to perak and stop by this place at bidor. parking is always the big problem here and usually will park far abit and walk to this restaurant. take away some fresh made wu kok filling with the meat inside fresh and still hot. love the taste so much and yet sitting down to enjoy the noodle here first 繼續閱讀
