Ordered the chao kuay teow in Joo Hooi Cafe, as it is yet another Penang specialty. It arrived fairly quickly even with the huge crowd in the coffeeshop. This chao kuay teow has quite a strong wok hei, and I really enjoyed the duck egg which is very strong in eggy flavour. It also has some big prawns which is very juicy and fresh. The only thing I do not like on this dish is that the cockles are overcooked, making it too dry without much taste left.For RM3.50 this dish is fairly priced as the ch

This chao kuay teow has quite a strong wok hei, and I really enjoyed the duck egg which is very strong in eggy flavour. It also has some big prawns which is very juicy and fresh. The only thing I do not like on this dish is that the cockles are overcooked, making it too dry without much taste left.

For RM3.50 this dish is fairly priced as the cheap price comes with a small portion.
