Visited Heaven Gate during lunch hours, we parked at opposite compound of Padang Kota, which require MPPP coupon. Car park is a headache for diners during lunch hours. The nearby slot are occupied by office workers. Dinner is okay.The cafe is tastefully decorated by colourful bottles which easily catch your eyesight when u first entered. The gate-alike decoration is welcome you when u cross under the entrance.A romantic place for couples. Unique deco with good food an wine. This place is one of my favorite gathering spot with a few good friends that love good food and wine. One of the good practice in this CW restaurant is the food and wine menu are keep improving. Recently just release a all-new food n wine menu. Starter we usually go with wild mushroom or crowder soup and follow by salad of the day. Main course I personally like the signature roasted duck. tuna pasta and thick sea bass from new menu as well as special prawn spaghetti that not from the menu. Closing for sure is dessert and cannot miss out my Oreo expresso and also hot n cold chocolate lava ice cream. Crispy Baked Seabass served with Cream of Almond Sauce, pan fried fresh Seabass with salt top with almond sauce that is very fresh and delicious especially the crispy skin with juicy meat.Lamb Shank, we did eat Lamb Shank during our previous visit but they have improve it again to make it even better, they created the Lamb Shank by braising it for at least 4 hours in vegetable and beef stock with assorted herbs to make it extremely tender soft and flavorful. Heaven Gate is a restaurant that serves high quality French/Italian cuisines in Penang. It is located at Lebuh King, Georgetown. Creamy Pumpkin SoupThis pumpkin soup is so creamy and packed with flavour. The sweetness of the pumpkin is perfectly balanced with other seasoning. You can taste some flavour of bacon and the smokiness of the bacon has added extra element to the soup. It is best served with a toast.
