Apam balik has got to be the one of the most sought after snacks at every night or morning market. The crispy apam balik brings back nostalgic memories of going to the morning market with my mother to get groceries. 10 years ago there were only the 'original' version of the apam balik crispy, where they only come in one filling flavour of peanuts, sweet corn and sugar. Not surprisingly now, to keep up with the ever changing trends, apam balik crispy comes with a variation of flavours even savoury! I stumbled upon this particular stall as I was wandering aimlessly along the Feringghi Night Market and of course this girl can never say no to crispy sweet snacks. I was overwhelmed with the variation of fiillings they have. It ranges from simple and sweet to heavy and savoury. To feed my curiosity (and my tummy), i ordered a savoury one (cheese, RM 2), a heavily loaded sweet one (peanut butter + nutella, RM6) and to be on the safe side, I ordered the original one (peanut + sweet corn, RM1) in case the others are not as delicious as they sound. I was not disappointed, all the flavours I bought turned out to be delicious! I especially like the peanut butter and nutella. The original one is a bit expensive than what you may find at your local markets, usually the original flavours are around 70-80 cents but if you are around the area and want to step up your apam balik game, this place is worth the try.
