Many say that Him Heang Tambun Biscuits is the best, but Ghee Hiang is not bad too. Also, comparing to the bad attitude of those staffs in Him Heang, the service in Ghee Hiang is much more better. The building is resides along Burmah Road, and it is not big, but looks new with modern design. Inside the building, there is a big counter with a number of staffs serving you. Their packaging of each product is very nice, and the varieties of biscuits available are wide too. They have tau sah peah, lou poh peng, hneoh pneah, beh teh soh, almond cookies, sesame oils and many other choices. Ghee Hiang's Tambun Biscuits comes in individual package, and each package has four biscuits. I like this concept, as the nicely sealed package can retain the freshness of the biscuits. I don't have to worry that the biscuits will turn bad or crawling in ants when putting them on the table for few days. Once open the package, a nice aroma of green beans can be smelt. A bite into the biscuit, you can feel the flaky sensation from the outer layer, and the fine and salty green beans (Tau Sah) fillings pairing nicely with the crust.
