This restaurant offers a variety of authentic Chinese cuisines. It is located at Gurney Plaza.Stir Fry Pork With Dry ChiliThis dish is so tasty. The pork is not too fat or oily but very juicy. The sauce is very special with fragrant of the wok. It requires experienced chef to cook this kind of dish, There is also cashew nut inside the dish with add extra taste to the whole dish.

Xuan Xin is a restaurant which is serving a wide range of Chinese style cuisines. So far I knew that there are 4 branches in Penang and this review is all about the branch located at Gurney Plaza.Salad FishThis dish is the salad fish. The fish was crispy on the outer layer and the flesh was soft. The mayonnaise used was nice and aromatic because they added some sesame on the top too.

I'd tried out another dish here- Black Pepper pork which is good! It serves in a few big slice of pork chop and was cooked in sticky and thick black pepper sauce. The sauce mixed well that the taste of black pepper doesn’t overwhelmed the sweetness of pork.The only disappointment is the service was bad as the waiter reluctant to refill water to the tea as we sit there chitchat for a long time.

If you prefer some appetizing dish for your meals. You can try their Lemon chicken.The soft and tender chicken being deep-fried and then cut into slices.Cooked with sweet and sour lemon sauce, and topped with lemon slice and sesame.I like the sauce, which is moist and flavourful. Good to have it with rice. The food is good but that the portion of every dish is very small.

One of their signature dish i would like to recommend here is the - “ ma bo tofu” , a traditional chinese cuisine from Sze Chuan province. It is a combination of soft tofu cooked with minced pork in sweet and sour sauce and red chilli . Normally the Traditional mapo tofu dish should be very slightly oily with piquancy of Hot chilli. But here, the chef cooked it in more to sweet and sour taste with thick sauce. Perfect to have it with rice and the taste is appetizing and unique.

原本以为炫昇香港小厨只有家常菜式，所以看到有火锅的那时候，我有惊讶到。他们的材料很新鲜，也许是小厨式，常需要为餐馆进货。那汤地很鲜甜，这是我最注重的，不然就会ruin了那些材料~可惜这里不是自作餐式的，不然常常跟朋友来这里聚会。

Me and my friend was having gathering at there and we order a pot of ‘tie guan yin’ tea along with some small dish. We had the vegetables which is the water spinach cooked with sambal sauce. It is cooked by master Sin and as you can see there were names of the chef show the plate that cooked their famous dishes. But to me the vegetables is just norma

喜欢吃虾子的朋友，可以试试这个-干咖喱炒虾。虽然我点的只是两人份，但是给的虾子蛮多的，大概有六七只吧。虾子还算新鲜，而且每只虾子都蛮大的，炒上咖喱调味料，香甜但不会太辣。沾上酱料配饭也是个不错的选择。

炫昇香港小厨-这里除了煮炒之外，还有点心，点品等等。如果是和年老的长辈和小孩来到这里吃，可以点这个-咸鱼鸡粒豆腐煲。所有配料和豆腐煲都在一起，加上浓浓的酱汁，非常美味。而豆腐煲得很软，所以非常容易吞食。厨师很聪明的加上了咸鱼，让锅里的豆腐增添一些咸味。

每逢假日，很多一家大小都喜欢来到这里舒舒服服的享受家常小菜。这里有提供一些适合全家大小的配套餐。就算只是两个人来吃，也不用担心菜太大碟而浪费的烦恼。套餐都会提供 时日例汤。如果是两个人份的套餐，就会附上两碗的汤。这是我点的ABC 汤，也就是以马铃薯及胡萝卜煮成的汤。汤内虽然给的配料不多，但是非常甜美爽口。尤其是小孩子，会非常喜欢这个汤。

炫昇是一家以中华料理为名的餐馆，位于Gurney顶楼。家常便饭，清炒小菜，甚至山珍海味，都可以在这里品尝。这是其中一样小菜-玻璃生菜炒腐乳。由于是配饭吃，所以就选了比较简单的青菜炒腐乳。带点咸香味的腐乳拌起饭来非常美味。加上菜也炒得很入味，碟子的一角写着-祥师傅，表示这盘小菜是由这位师傅下的厨艺。

很惊讶地知道原来炫昇香港小厨除了普通的主餐以外，也有火锅可以吃！真的是太好了，因为我那火锅瘾不时都会出现。哈哈～这里的不时是buffet style而是套餐式。选择还蛮多的，我跟朋友点了两人份的来share,觉得材料很新鲜，汤底也很鲜甜。不错以下
