After having the Teochew Chendul outside the cafe. We decided to grab some light bites from Joo Hooi Cafe. I was told by my friend that we should eat the Yam Cake here. For only RM 2 per piece. I think it's a good try. We ordered two yam cakes and some kuih from this stall in Joo Hooi CafeThe aunty or owner of the stall is so friendly that she greet and talked to us Knowing I'm not from local by hearing my accent, she recommended us places to eat and so.I am overwhelmed by her kind explanation. There are many people who eat Asam Laksa here and TeoChew Chendul here. This cafe is usually crowded that you have to wait to get a seat. Most probably you would see almost everyone having the Chendul with them.I guess the Chendul is that good that people would love to have it with the food here.Though this place is a bit stuffy and hot, but for the sake of good food. The little sacrifice means nothing! 繼續閱讀

The Loh Bak at Joo Hooi is just ok. There are not many varieties there except normal stuff like tauhu, loh bak, prawn fritters. The prawn fritters are very crispy and cut into smaller pieces. Loh Bak has a little weird smell. The tauhu is so soft. The Loh Bak takes a long time to be made and sometimes they forget people's orders. Oh, and don't bother to order the cendol. I wonder why people queue up so long for it when the cendol was horrible. I personally don't like cendol as there is too much santan.  繼續閱讀

We found this place on timeout.com.Went for lunch yesterday. cabbie had no trouble finding the spot. Not far from the Gtown malls. Our 2 Kids refused to sit at the formica stalls initially as they were taken aback by the wear. I took heart from the bustling crowds and mandated partvipatipn and we're all the better for it. Asam Laksa to die for. Char kuay teow was great. amazing teh C. 繼續閱讀
