The jury's out on this place. Regarded highly by all the locals I talked to, I went and was rather underwhelmed.Yes they are super busy until closing, with a line of people waiting for take-away also, however I found everything was alright but nothing was exceptional.The dim sum was all a bit on the gloopy side, and not really that flavoursome. Nothing memorable, but I guess an ok place to quell your cravings.

De Tai Tong Dim Sum Restaurant serves great chinese yum cha in Penang. It is located at Lebuh Cintra, Georgetown. It is a great place for family breakfast during the weekend. Chinese Chee Cheong FunThis chee cheong fun is one of my favourite dim sum in this restaurant. The texture is so soft and smooth. It tastes better when eaten together with the special made sambal which adds extra fragrance and flavour to the chee cheong fun. For those who love chee cheong fun, this one must not be missed when visiting this dim sum restaurant.

De Tai Tong Dim Sum Restaurant is restaurant that serves a wide range of dim sum. Besides that, they also offer you a wide range of chinese cuisine during the lunch hour.Gai Wor PaoThis dish is the gai wor pao. This gai wor pao is a layer of pao wrapping a whole lo mai gai (glutinous rice dim sum) in the inner layer. The lo mai gai is really delicious but I still prefer those normal lo mai gai without being wrapped by the pao.
