We did not have to wait for long to find another excuse to visit All About Sugar & Gift (团圆) at Lorong Susu. A few outstation friends dropped by, so we wanted to impress them with novelty desserts.We reordered the old school Sweet Tang Yuan (子孙满堂, RM4.20) so that everyone can sample the different types of glutinous rice that the shop has to offer.Next, we proceeded to try some Tau Sar Tang Yuan (豆沙汤圆, RM4.20), where the tangyuan is filled in red bean paste, while the soup is also red bean flavor

We reordered the old school Sweet Tang Yuan (子孙满堂, RM4.20) so that everyone can sample the different types of glutinous rice that the shop has to offer.

Next, we proceeded to try some Tau Sar Tang Yuan (豆沙汤圆, RM4.20), where the tangyuan is filled in red bean paste, while the soup is also red bean flavored.

The third choice is the Lotus Seed Tang Yuan (莲子汤圆, RM4.20). The tangyuan is unfilled, but the soup has lotus seeds as ingredients.

Finally, we tried the Green Tea Tang Yuan (绿茶汤圆, RM4.20). The tangyuan itself is unfilled but the flour contains green tea extract.

All four choices were satisfying to varying degrees.

This painstakingly-decorated shop along the narrow Lorong Susu specializes in tangyuan (汤圆), a dish of spherical glutinous rice flour typically served during the Lantern Festival. But the presence of this shop indicates that people are impatient to wait till the annual Lantern Festival to satisfy their cravings.

We placed an order of Sweet Tang Yuan (子孙满堂), whose Chinese name is obviously a play on the word "sugar". This dish is mixture of several different types of tangyuan (filled and unfilled) in clear ginger syrup.

Next, Tiramisu Tang Yuan (提拉米苏汤圆) is also a real treat! The tangyuan is filled with chocolate tiramisu, and served in a bowl of milk soup. It is best to eat it hot to taste the sweet chocolate oozing out of each punctured tangyuan.

Another signature dish is the Peanut Tang Yuan (花生汤圆). The tangyuan in this dessert has sweet peanut paste filling, with sweet peanut soup to complement it. It was a delicious dish indeed!

For dessert, we wrapped up with an order of Dragon Fruit Sago (龙珠果西米露). The sago (tapioca pudding) is served with several tangyuan, dragonfruit, mango, longan and kiwi. Perhaps because it is served cold, the flavor is not as impressive as the others.

The shop also sells solid food, but we will leave this for a future visit. I foresee that we will drop by again in the near term!

这个黑珍珠捞鲜什果很特别,卖相很好。而它是将不同的水果放在鲜奶中,而且里头还有一些的黑珍珠。吃起来的感觉有点新鲜因为除了可以吃到水果的味道之外还可以品尝到鲜奶的味道。

我喜欢吃窝饼,而这里的窝饼是我想吃的味道吃起来不会太干,而且也不会太油腻因为我在外面吃的都很油腻。而里面的莲蓉真的很有味道。当品尝这个的时候食物还是热的,感觉真的不错。

窝饼算是我很喜欢的甜点之一。窝饼是把面粉包裹着莲蓉,再拿去油炸,吃起来软软的,里面的莲蓉又热乎乎的话,真的很好吃!这里的窝饼饼皮也被制作得很薄,所以吃起来时油味会比较没有那么重,也比较没有那么腻。

这里的汤圆都是人工自制的,所以比起一般在百货公司看到的都会大得多。这里的花生汤圆皮很薄,隐隐约约可以看到里面的花生馅料。吃下去时,感觉花生真的被打得很粉碎,一口下去你会吃到有种粉粉的感觉,姜汤方面就比较差,可能姜被放得不够,所以味道有点淡。

看menu时,我还以为这回是一杯珍珠奶茶之类的,哪里知道上桌时,才发觉这是一碗杂果冰。这碗杂果冰被装饰得很漂亮,里面大概有5至6种水果,很多层的颜色,看起来真的很美味。而且特别的是,在碗的最底部还有很有粒珍珠,然后整碗杂果冰都是被泡在鲜奶中的,吃起来真的有种salad的感觉,不过算是很特别。
