In Japan, working adults hang out in groups in “Izakaya” (居酒屋)after working hours for drink and eat. Izakaya basically is a drinking place with food servings. “I” means “to stay”, while “zakaya” means “sake shop”. Lately, I was introduced to such place and culture for my very first time. It is called Tsubohachi, a famous traditional Izakaya established in Hokkaido since 1973, with more than 300 outlets in whole Japan. Lately, I was introduced to such place and culture for my very first time. It is called Tsubohachi, a famous traditional Izakaya established in Hokkaido since 1973, with more than 300 outlets in whole Japan. Currently, it has only 1 outlet in Malaysia, located in Publika. As mentioned earlier, this is a “drinking” place with food. They have wide selection of Japanese alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to order.
Have you ever heard of “Drink-All-You-Can”? You can find their “All You Can Drink (Nomihodai)” banquet dinner here, and it comes with food in a few packages.I ate so much stuffs that night I can't even recall all of them. Let me show you some of those I can remember.
