I still remembered more than a decade and a half ago; Kings Confectionery spearheaded the now-revolutionary craze on Portugese Egg Tarts in Malaysia. It was so crazy that I believe they sold like tens of thousands of pieces per outlet; and 90% of their revenue probably derived from that. No joke, there were long lines but yet people were patient and left with boxes and boxes! Nowadays, of course.. the fad has died out.. and I have to say there have since emerged competitors coming up with even better tasting portugese egg tarts. But for some reason (nostalgia maybe) I can't help myself buying 1-2 piece whenever I passed by this outlet.. Their other products are quite alright too. But my fav's still the portugese egg tart
