Unlike the usual fried ice cream that we see in night markets or bazaar where vendor throw the ice cream puff into boiling oil to deep fry it, Monster Ice Cream fry their ice cream with dry ice. Basically, the staff would pour the flavoured liquid on their “pan” and add some ingredients of your choice to the liquid and start frying it.
I ordered two flavours mango with rainbow jelly (RM 9) and coconut ice cream with coconut cookies (RM 9). The mango with rainbow jelly taste incredible to me but to my sister, it had a little anti-biotic taste in it. But, if you can live with that taste, you would definitely want to try the mango ice cream series. On the other hand, the amazing combination of coconut ice cream with the coconut cookies tasted delicious to both of us. However, there’s no doubt that Sangkaya would probably have better coconut flavoured ice cream.
