Walked in to VCR on 10/3/17 due to too sleepy and so decided to get a cup of coffee & so happened I'm around VCR cafe area. Order cappuccino & The King Cake (Banana chocolate peanut butter cake). Get tempted by those display cake. Being told that The King is the best seller in VCR .. coffee not bad . Meet expectation . The King, chocolate banana portion is just nice but if the peanut butter less sweet that would be nice . A bit sweet for the peanut butter.. but overall I'm still satisfy with it ..

Soft Shell Crab Burger, Unagi Croissant, Classic Chocolate Cake and flat white for our Friday lunch treat yesterday!Soft Shell Crab Burger had fried soft shell crab, sunny side up egg, pickled cucumber on the inside and the top bun was slathered with tartar sauce and sweet onion jam on the bottom bun. The tartar sauce on the top bun reminded me of filet o' fish from McD's.and next come the Unagi Croissant which had unagi, the same picked cucumber from the soft shell crab burger, ni tamago (Japan marinated soft boiled egg commonly found in Ramen) sandwiched in between a croissant and a side of salad drizzled with honey lemon vinaigrette on the side.after all the mains, we washed it all down with the capp on the VCR blend 3.0( Panama Kotowa, Guatemala Santa Isabel and Indonesia ) with the classic chocolate which wasn't too sweet. It felt like as if i was having chocolate for desserts on my coffee.Soft Shell Crab Burger, Unagi Croissant, Classic Chocolate Cake and flat white for our Friday lunch treat today.

Been here for an evening tea break.Honestly speaking, not so fond of their banana/chocolate cake, not that I don't like banana or chocolate, just doesn't really enjoy the mixture of both. The well-riped banana's texture was so soft and I particularly don't like that melting-banana feeling. If you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, if you happened to like that texture, this will just taste fine for you.As for the flat white, I'm afraid not as good as I expected it to be. Is it the milk or the coffee bean they're using? Something is missing (or is it just my bad mood). This coffee slightly more bitter than the usual flat white, but somehow i just couldn't appreciate the bitterness without the coffee roasted scent.However, nice ambience, will still come back for a relaxing afternoon tea.

Been reading a lot of reviews and blogs about VCR Coffee. Finally I paid a visit to this cafe and try their French Toast and Cappuccino. It is a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a cup of coffee and sit for hours to rest and watching people walking around. Definately I will pay a second visit.

Decided to drop by VCR on a Saturday morning as I wanted to give their doughnuts a try, knowing and keeping in mind that the doughnuts are only available during the weekends. They only have two flavored doughnuts, chocolate almond and matcha oreo. As a big matcha fan, I picked the latter over the former. The perfectly baked doughnuts with matcha glaze and oreo cookie crumbs were not overly sweet at all It was no doubt the perfect accompaniment to my bittersweet coffee. This is my first time having their in-house baked doughnuts and I loved it. The texture is a bit odd because it is unlike any other donuts out there in the markets as this crumbles easily as I slice through it. Not to forget to order a cup of joe whenever you swing by. If you are uncertain what to have, #askthebarista , they'd happily recommend you according to your preference. Nevertheless, the combination of aroma and gentle taste makes this a perfect treat for the afternoon.
