I have ordered one of their signature drink, Serai Iced Tea (lemon sorbet, lemongrass extract and a hint of fresh mint). This drink is so refreshing after the heavy meal.

This is by far the most genuine taste cake among the rest that I tried. The chunks of actual ore cookies are present at the top of the cake which adds in some crunchiness and also taste to the already tasty cake. This cake is moist but also manage to withstand shock as we weren't very careful with them. The crust is a bit bitter but mix well with the cheese. Overall a delightful cake which I will buy again.

Serai's Tiramisu appears to look like the one from Alexis but taste wise it's not quite there. But I give it credits for fresh nuts and quite tasty sponge and cream. It lacks the coffee taste and the caramelize part of the famous Alexis tiramisu though. Basically the whole package lacks in taste compared to the other but it's actually not too bad a cake for itself.

The chocolate cake was not what I had in mind. I thought it to be moist, compacted and full of chocolate flavour. But it was truly disappointing to find that it's dry, compacted and not so chocolatey. At least they got 1 right. For the price of RM15, I was expecting much, much more from this cake since the other 3 that I bought together with this has set quite a high bar. This chocolate cake was not up to expectation and I will not order it anymore...

Having heard multiple times of the term pavlova, it made me wonder what kind of cake is it. So when we were there to pack some cakes for sharing, I chose the inviting strawberry pavlova. It was very airy and creamy on first bite. It didn't feel very heavy even with a few more mouthfuls. The strawberries were neatly displayed and taste good too. There were quite a bit of desserts that Serai offers. We wanted to try them all, but the stomach wouldn’t allow it. We finally settled on the pandan banana fritters. The banana fritters’ batter was very light, and hardly had any leftover oil. Wifey ordered the minted calamansi soda. I thought the drink tasted pretty good. Slightly on the sweet side due to the ice-cream soda, but still quite acceptable. There were lots of mint leaves in wifey’s drink, which gave it a good minty flavour. The calamansi flavour was also quite apparent. The drink was not diluted at all, as the ice given was just enough. Very well worth the RM10.50 paid.

I ordered the Serai Iced Tea for my drink. It came quite fast, and it was very chilled. It had a ball of lemon sorbet floating in it, with a tinge of lemongrass extract and a hint of mint due to the mint leaves floating in the drink. My first taste of the drink tasted slightly bitter. However, after mixing the lemon sorbet, the drink turned out pretty good. Very refreshing and cleansing. However, the price tag of RM12 seemed to be a bit steep.

Wifey was not feeling very adventurous hence she went with an order of nasi lemak. The food came in a jiffy, and the portion was quite big as well. The rice was fluffy and full of santan flavour. The usual condiments consisted of half a hard-boiled egg, some fried peanuts, crunchy anchovies and a couple slices of cucumbers. There was also a small bowl of sambal prawns given. I have heard many a good things about Serai, and it is high time to pay them a visit. So wifey and I braved the Friday evening jam at LDP to get to Paradigm Mall. The restaurant is located above The Loaf, and it was kind of hard to find actually, especially when there were some constructions going on. Milky bandung is also a nice drink, this popular malay drink is indeed very delicious. The rose syrup with soda is however too sweet for me, but i do like the flavor of the rose syrup. The rose syrup was very fragrant, and drinking the drinks makes me feel very comforted. Besides the rose syrup, there were also a hint of pandan flavors. The mild pandan flavors actually lingers around in the mouth.

This is the number one signature drink from Serai. It was good, but over priced. Add a few more ringgit and you can easily order a fried rice. The white round thing on top of the drink is the lemon sorbet. The refreshing sweet and sourish lemon sorbet mixed well into the tea and added more flavors. The tea was of the lemon grass extract flavors and some mint leaves were added.

The minted calamansi soda is one of the popular drinks from this restaurant. I find that the drinks in this place is priced very expensive. Although i do not mind paying for good quality food and beverages, i do feel that the beverages here are seriously overpriced. The ice cream soda is soft drink in this drink, with the mint leaves and lime, the drink is very refreshing and quite sweet too.
