I just discovered the Olive Garden Restaurant in Mid Valley mall. I was drawn inside by the waiter who informed us that any main dish can get free unlimited soup or House Salad. Everything is served together with grated cheese. I ordered the Five Cheese Ziti Pasta (RM 29.90) which is very cheesy with tiny minced meat sprinkled on top with grated cheese. The pasta is simple yet quite good. With this al dente pasta, we could get a free soup that comes together with soft bread. The bread is even better than the one at Dominos and Pizza Hut. The best part is also the bread is not oily. We could have a choice of 3 soups but of course me being the food reviewer, I tried all of them that are Pasta e Fagioli, Alfredo Chicken and Gnocchi and also Minestrone. If not for this promotion, each soup would have cost RM 11.80 per soup. The Pasta e Fagioli is a tad too salty for me with beans, onions, beef, tomato and pasta. Alfredo Chicken and Gnocchi soup is just normal with a bit too much cream. There are pieces of chicken and carrot inside with cream. The Minestrone is so delicious with no cream. There are shell type pasta inside together with capsicum, carrot, carrot. The soup is not as salty as the first one. I thought that every Italian place has great coffee so I ordered the Cappuccino (RM 8.90) but it turned out to be terrible that I could not even finish it. There was simply too much foam and bubbles inside and not taste of coffee at all. The other main dish I ordered is the Shrimp Aglio Olio (RM 28.90) which was done al dente and not even oily. There are cooked it together with capcicum cubes and has 4 big prawns. With this main dish, we could order the unlimited House Salad which comes served in enormous glass bowl. The salad contains fresh green salad vegetables and croutons, shredded carrots and purple cabbage. The Hot Chocolate looks tasty but I was not sure about the taste because I have no chance to try it. The Lipton Iced Tea (RM 9.90) was too sweet. 繼續閱讀

Italian Cuisine is my favourite. I happen to came across from friend that Olive Garden just landed in Malaysia recently at Mid Valley. It seems that is originated from US. Anyhow, Im here for dinner tonight. Simple yet cosy ambience interior. Without exploring much about the interior, lets pay more attention to food menu, look-up for "Chef recommendation" and specialty. If you are coming for Italian food, pizza and spaghetti are the must-eat foods. As such, I have placed order from appetizer, main course, dessert to beverages. Just waiting to be served on my dining tables. First, here comes the long breadstick which on complimentary for all the diners. The breaksticks are soft and warm, it goes well with balsamic vinegar and oliver oil which will be served upon request.Next, is my beverage- Cafe Latte (Rm8.90). I love to drink coffee in Italian Restaurant, I have no interest to explore other drinks. hmhm... so weird. Anyway, the Latte is good. My friend whereby has ordered herself a cup of Mojitos(RM16.50). Frizzy, Chilling and refreshing with lime and mint leaves! Next, House Salad (RM15.90) which is refillable. Make-up of lettuce, crouton, tomato, pickles and onion, mixed with Italian dressing. The taste is just right for me. Very good.Steak Grana Padan (RM52.90) , fettuccine alfedo topped with beef, sun dried tomato, olive and spinach. Lobster Fetuccine (RM53.90), fettuccine tossed with seafood creamy sauce topped with Lobster tail and shrimp. The lobster tasted fresh and same goes to the shrimp. Tour in Italy (RM59.90), I like the name of this dish. This is a 3 in 1 combo consist of Fettucine Carborana, Lagsana and Deep fried breaded chicken chop with tomota sauce on top. Such as special conbination whereby you get to taste all three different cooking in one dish.  Here comes my favourite spaghetti- Shrimp Pasta Aglio Olio (RM28.90). Simple cooking of spaghetti with olive oil and garlic topped with pan fried shrimp. This pasta full of garlic aroma however it is too much of garlic in it, I might afraid that I had a bad breath after the meal. Italian Foods indeed cannot without pizza. Here I ordered the Mediterranean Pizza, this is because I like the Pesto Sauce, topping comprises of Capsicum, garlic, onion of cause baked with Mozzarella Cheese. It is such as good conbination of the above ingredient, this is something you can find else where at other Italian Restaurant. I have saved some room for dessert. The greedy of me have ordered 2 dessert- Tiramisu (RM12.80) and Dolcini (RM18 for 3).The Tiramisu tasted good, creamy and smooth texture. Thumbs up!Among the 3 flavour, I opted Dark Chocolate Caramel Cream. The first layer is Caramel cream, which is lighlty salted, you tougue will linger between sweet and saltyness. A twitch of the taste. Really good! It never dissappoint me!To summarize the overall foods Olive Garden, it is an authentic Italian Food that fits into Malaysia flavours and please remember to order their dessert to complete your food journey!  繼續閱讀
