Every 10th of the month from May until December 2015, Old town give away promotion where with RM10 you get to purchase a set meal (with choice of Minced chicken rice, BBQ chicken rice, Soup Pan Mee and Asam Laksa) with one drink (choice of Coke, Sprite and Grape Fanta) Come the day of the month, their outlet is Pavilion is crowded with office folks trying to grab this good deal, as perceived by many while myself I think it is just normal (You could buy chicken rice with drink outside for lesser price) but I guess because the name is Old town, so everyone think the deal is good.Staff will usually be under staffed to handle the sudden big crowd, so usually we have to wait for a while before being served with food, and they don't even have time to prepare fork and spoon for me. Food wise, I ordered the minced chicken rice. Portion is not very big but the rice did have the traditional chicken rice aroma. The minced chicken is quite salty and a bit spicy, while the soft boiled egg is broken so I can't really taste the egg there, the vegetable is okay not very hard, and the grape Fanta is good

I'm Oldtown supporter when comes to White Coffee and Kaya & Butter Toast only. Other then that, perhaps occasionaly Nasi Lemak and Fried Mee Hoon for breakfast full stop. Because one time I had the Steam Rice with chicken its left me very bad thirsty after syndrome and same goes to Ipoh Hor Fun. I believe they have put in lots of MSG. From that day onwards I only stick to coffee and toast. This year Oldtown is celebrating 10 Anniversary, therefore they have launched the RM10nett promotion set for every 10th of the month from May till December 2015. The promotion sets do not offer wide array of selection but 5 sets which consist of BBQ Chicken Rice, Ipoh Hor Fun, Pan Mee Soup, Asam Laksa and Steam Minced Chicken Rice paired with a glass of soft drink. Since it is a good deal, my colleague has initiated to dine there for lunch. While going through the menu, I'm struggling what to eat to avoid thristy after syndrome, sceptical over the menu. My colleague has recommended me Steam Minced Chicken Rice. I accepted his recommendation without hesitation. After waited for 10mins, the waiter served me Coca Cola.Then, here comes my Steam Minced Chicken Rice. hmhm.... it looks appetizing.The steam rice is steaming hot with vegetable (Pak Choy) and half cooked egg on top. The egg so adorable as I love the egg is wobbly and only half cooked. As I fluff the rice, I can smell the fragrant of the rice. When I tasted the first scoop, the minced meat is spicy which goes well with the rice. Oh is yummy! I have finished the rice in a second. No joke! Is really good and satisfying! The wonder is I do not feel any thirsty at all after 2 hours. Bravo! 👍

I always like the old town white coffee with bread. this round, I decided to try other stuff, Pan Mee ...the soup is nice, u can taste the ikan bilis nice to blend with egg. the mee is ok but wish the portion is bigger. I'm only about 80% full, but Ok lah...

Old Town one of Malaysian based biggest franchise in the recent years. It offers mainly local cuisine while serving aromatic & freshly brew coffee. You can spot an Old Town in any major shopping mallThe fragrance of its Fried Rice was sadly not strong and tasted like any typical fried rice elsewhere. The dishes serves along play a big role in adding flavour in every spoon. The fried crab meat was slightly salty while the chicken was good in a way that it was very well marinated. The flavour was soaked into not just the outer layer but also the tender meat.
