We visited this looking for some 'authentic local food'.When I went in, I was surprised at how affordable everything was. I didn't expect that from Midvalley/Gardens.It's a self-service concept, where you order at a counter and then they send it to you later.I strongly recommend the sticky rice with curry. Only one thing was odd, which was they didn't put potatoes in it but instead the white radishes. It was okay, but a carb-y potato would have been better.I also strongly recommend the rojak. It's a HUGE PORTION with fresh fruit and a crispy cracker (or 2). The sauce was delectable, and the peanuts in it were yummy.I will however avoid the curry noodles. The curry tasted different, and we had a hard time finishing it.The nasi lemak with chicken was a big portion too. The rice was fragrant, and the chicken was tender. A winning dish.Overall very good, for the price you pay for. The local Nyonya kuih's are also a must. And if you go after 8.00pm, they usually sell it for half price. Yum! 繼續閱讀

Nyonya food galore. So busy and so many patrons. Great selection of nyonya cakes.Nyonya the Strait of Melaka melting pot of middle kingdom and peninsula cultures. Culminating in unique taste and cuisine. See http://www.nyonyacolors.com/We had hot tea cooled by throwing tea between two mugs. The vernacular being 'teh tarik' or pulling tea between two mugs to cool and create a head of froth on the tea.Red bean soup or kacang merah. With hint of tangy orange skin.Shaved ice with peanuts and brown sugar or "ice kacang" was yummy with lots of sugar and sweet condiments.Chendol or green jelly with shaved ice and green jelly. The range of food at nyonya colours. Lots of kuih muih from Malaysian nyonya cultures. We enjoyed the light afternoon tea & chose not to have cakes this time. Very crowded. You have to find your own seat. We managed to get table 22 for 5 people. 繼續閱讀

Pulut Panggang was not bad. The filling is not much but it is okay. The ‘pulut’ is a little hard but okay. Not that delicious but okay.On the other hand, the mini green ku is actually tasteless. If not for the filling, it wouldn’t be edible. It is soft and quite bouncy. Just that I don’t find it particularly delicious. The talam is sticky, tasteless and hard. I don’t enjoy this kueh the most. The green comes from colouring and not from real pandan leaves.http://beautyfaceskin123.blogspot.com/2014/05/food-review-on-nyonya-colors-midvalley.html 繼續閱讀

9 Layers CakeThis is ‘Kau Chang Go’ or literally translated from Chinese to be called 9 Layers Cake. This cake is made with more contents of coconut milk which failing so, would result in a not so delectable bite. Some edible food inks are used alternatingly to spice up its appearance. It is quite chewy in a way and l love to tend to enjoy them layer by layer. Somehow, I find joy in eating that way The common colour that we can find is green, red and white overlapping nicely. 繼續閱讀
