Nutmeg has their name around the cafe exploration quite outstanding. With their unique dim and bright cafe interior, they serve food that blows your mind away. Every plate they serve are with well mannered waiters who flashes a million dollar smile at you. Every bite you take is flamed with seasoning that makes your tastebuds wanting more. Top service and big portion food on a plate, it is a cafe not to be missed.

For the regular brunch people, they would most definitely have heard of Nutmeg especially those who frequent around the Bangsar area. The french toast at Nutmeg is really good. Soft, fluffy, and warm. This is the chocolate-banana variety - one of the few options available here. It was difficult to select one because all sounded so good.Anyway, the chocolate sauce was very good, but I found that there should be at least double the amount of banana, and it should be toasted to caramelize and soften a little at least - this was just placed atop the toast, halved and raw.Taste? I decided on their signature All Day Breakfast meal after the waiter suggested it to me as well. Pricing quite high, I had bigger hopes for it as well. The meal came with toasted bread topped with poached eggs, mushrooms, lamb sausage and cheese macaronies. Their cheese macaronies are really the bomb! The boyfriend was craving for something filling and flavorful so he decided on Nutmeg's lasagna after the waiter recommended it to us. The lasagna came out to be served on a plate with a deeper depth surprisingly. Unlike most lasagna, Nutmeg's was served with bolognese gravy which surrounds the entire lasagna itself, so it makes it not dry and still gives some moisture to the pasta layer of the lasagna.

The classic spaghetti bolognese. I believe most people started with the classic spaghetti bolognese before they enter the world of pasta. The spaghetti bolognese that they serve here consists of beef and lamb, which was what makes it slightly more different compared to others. The bolognese sauce was packed filled with flavour, you could taste both beef and lamb juices together. The shredded cheese on top gave it that extra kick. Spaghetti was cooked perfectly and everything was good.

For dessert, I was hesitating between this Yogurt Parfait and the Chocolate Hazelnut Pudding. Well, in the end I prefer berries and yogurt together. The yogurt itself was light but rich in flavour. It did not overpower the berries or the nuts altogether. The berries gave it some extra sweet and sourness whilst the nuts gave it that extra crunchy bite. The combination of these 3 elements were pretty good as a dessert.

There is only one restaurant which serve the kind of beef lasagna that I like, which is The Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf. Now, there are two. The lasagna that Nutmeg served was so packed with flavour! The cheese was great, the minced beef was really consistent, the pastry was well cooked and to mention, they put lots of bolognese sauce around the lasagna. Really awesome!

I really do enjoy fresh salmon sashimi but not the type of vegetables used in a Gravlax salad. I do not know what was it called but I do know that it was really bitter. The salmon was pretty good. It was smooth, soft and rather flavourful in a salmon way. However, some say the salmon wasn't freshly caught but it was breed. I couldn't really tell the different since I'm not a professional salmon eater.
