The recent wine tasting showcased an array of Chilean wines, held at the award winning continental restaurant, La Bodega, located prominently at the salient locality of Bangsar.Invited guests were treated to a sumptuous array of inhouse signatures such as Seafood Paella and tapas amongst others.Everyone was devouring during the gustation night while relishing in the camaraderie among wine aficionados.Also present with us were Gabriel Fernandez Bosch, the Miguel Torres export manager who travels to Malaysia 4 times a year from Shanghai, sharing a light moment with Francis Wong.CORDILLERA CARIGNAN 2009 (MAULE VALLEY)Intensely pigmented colours of ruby. Floral and fruity aroma on a background of toasted notes from the cask. On the palate, it’s expansive and develops beautifully. The notes in its aroma are now complemented by hints of bay and mint.CORDILLERA CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2011 (MAIPO VALLEY)Touted exclusively as "Small production, artisan wines", it's no surprise that it captures our palate lusciously that night as the best bottle for the red wine range.CORDILLERA CHARDONNAY 2011 (Limari Valley)Fresh and fruity aroma with dominant notes of peach, white plum and grapefruit with touches of toasted hazelnuts. Mineral on the palate with great volume and an elegant acidity with rich fruity long-lasting aromas and a fresh, pleasant aftertaste.SANTA DIGNA RESERVA CARMENERE 2012 (CENTRAL VALLEY)Cherry colour with fine mulberry aromas and balsamic touches of eucalyptus that culminate in a sublime hint of mandarin oranges. Elegant on the palate with sweet tannins and nuances of leathers and spices. Pleasant toasted background.SANTA DIGNA RESERVA MERLOT 2011 (CENTRAL VALLEY)Great aromatic intensity, plum and blackberry jam mixed with spicy hints of vanilla and liquorice. A very attractive and elegant palate, enriched with toasted notes acquired through its oak ageing and a long after taste with lingering spices.It was a lovely food-and-wine affair and rest assured, a more indepth understanding towards wine tasting had been further engraved vividly. I have always been drawn to anything Spanish be it the food, music or culture. Well, this time is my second time eating at La Bodega just that it is in BSC Shopping Centre. I was hanging out with my BFF, her bf and his gang of friends for a so-called fellowship. We ordered Alfredo Spaghetti with lots of bacon. The alfredo was so creamy. Probably because I am not in favour of too cheesy food. It would have tasted better with my favourite mushrooms and fettuccini. Another friend ordered the Meatball Spaghetti. The meatballs are quite big. My friend EK ordered a cocktail which tasted quite ok with a little sour taste. 繼續閱讀

Having been a huge fan of the original La Bodega establishment at Jalan Telawi Bangsar, I was a bit surprised to learn they opened another La Bodega so close(barely 1km away) at nearby Bangsar Shopping Center. But having been to both; I can say now it was a good choice because the crowd's different. At Jalan Telawi the crowd's younger and boisterous. At BSC the crowd seems to be older and more 'elegant'. Haa, haa it's true But their food quality remains the same. Again go for their Tapas (garlic prawn, grilled squid and watercress veges' excellent!) and their seafood paella 繼續閱讀

因为朋友要去锻炼做健身的关系,他点了这份很健康的金枪鱼三文治。可是看起来比较像汉堡。面包稍微烤过外皮有点脆度而里面松软实在。金枪鱼没有经过什么特别的调味,还有一些蔬菜增加口感的湿润,所以不至于太干。 繼續閱讀

Goose liver pate with chutney on toast. Tasted weirdly tuna-ish. Seared salmon trout with spicy harissa. Fresh and moist. Saffron angel hair pasta with beef ragu, ricotta & marjoram sauce. The pasta and the ragu were brilliant separately, but the combo tasted a bit too rich. Green Monkey (AGWA, banana liqueur, lemonade) and Sweet Sting (kahlua, bailey's, white creme de cacao, milk, flavoured powder). Gold Digger (Ponche Caballero, apple sourz, lemon, mint, apple juice) and U Make Me Hot (Absolut Pepper, Malibu, mango, pineapple juice). 繼續閱讀
