Being a Sarawakian myself, I'm always keen to try out Sarawak food in KL. I have walked past Sarawak cuisine at the Pavilion's food court quite a few times and have been quite curious to see how the food will fare. The choices are limited to Kolo Mee, Beef Noodles, Noodles or Kuah Tiaw fried with tomato sauce (a dish very close to my heart) and Laksa. I make Kolo mee and Laksa quite often at home so this time I went for Tomato Kueh Tiaw. Yeap, it's not much to look at but I love the generousity of the tangy tomato sauce. The kuah tiaw was fried to perfection with "wok breath", they were also generous with chicken char siew, prawns, some squid and choy sum. The taste was decent, quite authentically Sarawakian. Although I must say that everyone has their own preference to how their tomato noodles should taste, this was close to what I like. The Kolo Mee my friend ordered also looked pretty good, although I'm not sure how it would taste without pork, haha. It's rare to find food less than RM10 at Pavilion, so this would be a good choice next time I crave for something cheap while in Pavilion.

This chicken chop was so-so, it was a bit bland and the rice was a bit too salty. The mushroom sauce was quite rich though and thick. I would have preferred black pepper sauce as it truly brings out the real flavour of the chicken. But, what to do, i've already ordered the mushroom version. The serving size is quite decent.
