I was in One Utama Shopping Centre and felt distress what to have for lunch and then I decided to have my lunch as I looked at the menu.Dontaku offers lunch set menu and its regular menu too. I ordered a seafood chahan I think it was a seafood fried rice and Curry Nabeyaki Uddon to Mini Tort Set.First, I would like to talk about the seafood chahan. Seafood chahan was one of the dishes under the lunch promotion menu. Sea food chahan was a seafood fried rice which contains few scallops, shrimp and squids in there. This seafood chahan was served with a stone pot. Special leh It was a ala carte so it had no drinks came along. This seafood chahan was full of egg fragrance and the squid was very fresh too. The flavour was appropriate which the saltiness was right at the point. Whereas the curry nabeyaki udon to mini tori set consisted of a small curry udon hot pot, a bowl of fried chicken with rice and a salad. I was disappointed by the curry udon because the curry soup was not the japanese curry I had before and it tasted strange. However, the fried chicken with white rice and the salad was not bad they went well together. I just don't like the curry udon...

Used to see this restaurant very crowded so I gave it a try! The Japanese Food here is not good at all! The broth in Ramen is nothing special, no taste and the CharSiu smells really bad! A big turnoff! The bento portion considered small but with the cheap price it's ok. Not much to complain on that! Surprisingly the Gyoza was good, at least something to praise them....haha. Now I know why it is crowded during peak hours, because the price is really cheap as compared to other Japanese Food Restaurant. Will never return to this restaurant again!

Dontaku serves Japanese delicacies like ramen, hotpot, bento and others. The meals are served hot in a hotpot that are heated. The chicken meal was not any shout out but the salmon fish is okay. Its fried just right, and the meat was not overcooked. Garnished with some salad as sideline, but I felt that the cabbage was cut into larger size, and doesn't look good in presentation. Taste was just ok, more like teppanyaki.

很喜欢他们的Egg Roll，好吃，价钱也不会贵。蛋的熟度非常适中，一点都没有老掉的感觉。它吃起来的口感还非常的细腻，富有层次感，入口即化。他们的蛋卷淋上日式的酱料，调味得非常的好。

I also went ahead to order myself a set meal. The set meal was indeed satisfying. My set consists of a soft shell crab handroll, green tea cold noodle, vegetables tempura, sushi, and miso soup. I love the green tea cold noodle the most. The noodle also comes with the accompanying sauce for me to dip the noodles. The vegetable tempura consists of sweet potato, okra, aubergine and french beans. They were lightly battered and fried. The handroll was not too bad either. I also have no complain about the sushi. Also priced at RM18 before tax.
