I planned to watch “Size Zero” a comedy and eye opening Indian Movie at Coliseum Cineplex, Kuala Lumpur as none of the GSC is playing that particular movie. So after our movie, me and my sister wanted to have dinner at Coliseum Café & Hotel while waiting for my Boyfriend to join us for dinner. Coliseum Café & Hotel is located just a stone throw away from Coliseum Cineplex. The café serves a variety of foods and drink choices for the customer including alcoholic beverages. A couple of people occupied the café when we arrived around 5.30pm. The ambiance of the café was classic and gives a very good vintage feeling for us. I ordered Hainanaese Chicken Chop and Spaghetti Chicken Bolognaise.Hainanese Chicken Chop is simply delicious. The chicken was crispy and tender. It was served with fries and sauce on the top. My boyfriend loved it; he even commented it tasted better than the Coliseum, Section 13. Hainanese Chicken Chop @ RM 23.90 Spaghetti Chicken Bolognaise is just a normal spaghetti, not something extraordinary. Spaghetti Chicken Bolognaise @ RM 16.90Overall, it was an okay dinner for me. Just drop by to experience the feeling of dining at one of the oldest restaurants in Malaysia and the foods are okay. The biggest problem is their car parking that cost me RM 16++ for just 4 hours in KL that is almost equivalent to my dinner. So Sad!! Just waste of money and I would just use LRT to go there instead of driving and asked my boyfriend to pick us up. Colisuem is an old name in Kuala Lumpur. It was first opened by a Hainanese family and they serve British style steaks which are drenched in a lot of sauce. Their most famous is the sizzling steakToday, the original Hainanese family has sold the business to a reputable companyAnd under the new management, Coliseum has expanded and opened branches in Petaling Jaya and Mid Valley MegamallAfter a sumptious steak meal, if you can still stomach some food. Opt for the fried banana fritters with ice cream 繼續閱讀

Chicken Chop with Black Pepper SauceI always loved chicken chop because western food has always been my calling. Haha. Anyway, my chicken chop was well grilled and there were some slightly burnt parts, but i like how they tasted. The meat was juicy and flavorful when bitten into. The sauce was too salty for me though, i had to keep drinking water. 繼續閱讀

Coliseum Cafe is certainly steeped in history, it's probably one of the oldest (if not THE oldest) Western restaurants in KL! I really do think everyone should pay a visit here at least once; if anything just to savor the nostalgic feeling of how it's like to dine in a Western establishment in the 60s. Everything here's so old-school ( I like it!) from the waiters' uniforms to the old grandfather clock to the old-school sizzling hot plates. When you order toast they will give you good ol' English butter. As for the mains, I love their all-time popular Sizzling Chicken Chop with Mushroom Sauce. Plain and simple yet delicious.. just like how I used to have it growing up! The Fish & Chips aint bad either. Must go at least once! 繼續閱讀

Born in 1921 and standing as one of the oldest restaurants in KL, this colonial looking restaurant was 'THE' place to go for western food during the days of my parents and probably grandparents too. It was the 'fancy' restaurant of those days. People would save up (I'd assume ) and bring their girlfriends here for some romantic fancy dinner As far as I can remember, I had never come here prior to this but my mum said I did when I was a young girl. Haha. Upon arriving here, I was quite taken a back by the whole look of the place. I don't think I've ever dined in a place like these ever before. Pretty interesting Pictures below will tell you how it looks like. I love the old feeling I get in here. Feet like I travelled back in time. HahaI got the sizzling fillet steak which cost RM37.90. Taste? Mm...so so only. It's not fantastic but edible and as you can see,the plating is very simple, nothing fancy at all. Just a slab of meat and a 3/4 tomato. My friend on the other hand loved it a lot! I couldn't really recall if the potato wedges & vege came with our mains or did we order them separately. I do remember we added on baked crab which cost RM16.90 each. It wasn't too bad. It had crab meat & some vege stuffing in the crab shell. All in all, it was an interesting dining experience! 繼續閱讀
