I won't purposely visit a vegetarian shop unless I'm forced to. And this time I was forced to. My supplier wanted to treat me for lunch but he's a vegetarian. Respecting his choice of food, I followed him to a very new cluster of building near kayu ara called 10 Boulevard. It was located at the row behind, facing the kayu are side.

Surprised by the shop front and interior, I was expecting something more to those Buddhism or religious type of eateries. But this has a very modern outlook. Inside, it looks like a cafe, looks sparkling clean and white. There were few ppl there so we proceed to order our meal. The staffs were friendly and quick to their feet too.

He recommended the carbonara if I wanted pasta and that's what I chose since I'm a fan of carbonara. They have other food that sounds just like non-vegetarian dishes like grilled salmon, thai fried rice, tom yum etc. We also ordered a glass of fruit tea, which is also a popular item there.

When the plate arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the effort they use on dressing up the plate. The rocket leaves and lettuce were placed in the middle and looked quaint. Clearly the dish has no bacon or any sight of meat but filled with mushrooms and chopped long beans. The sauce was thick and creamy. In fact it's very creamy. But it has a fresh taste to it. By the end of the meal, I felt a bit jelak cuz the sauce gets thicker and creamier at the bottom.

The fruit tea jug came with small glasses for serving, something like a tequila shot glass. And it was nice and warm. It is sweet and sour and made of real fruits as you can see the fruits floating on the surface. What I remembered was passion fruit, apple and orange slices swimming in the jug. It was a splendid mix.

And from then onwards I started to have different views of vegetarian food and would patron Chef Low's every now and then.
