The pastries by these couple is truly amazing. It's the first time to try an American recipe of a plum pie and it got me hooked! What's more, they only have a fixed quantity sold every week so to avoid disappointment, better make a reservation. And did I mention that they have different things in their menu every week?I love my pie to be served cold. Put it in the fridge for a couple of hours and you get some really cool, sweet plum pie. The crust is made with butter so they have really rich taste and texture. The plum is sweet and goes well with the crust. Fall Fruit Crumble. Along with the apple crumble, my friend bought the fall fruit crumble too, a unique crumble created by California Cookie Company itself. I would say this fare less than its counterpart apple crumble. It has many ingredients such as raisin and some fruits, but I find it a tad too dry for my liking. If anyone were to ask me which dessert shop that I love the most, I would say California Cookie Company. It's a humble little stall at the Plaza Mont Kiara pasar malam happening every Thursday. And as bizzarre as it sounds, I do not fancy their cookies much, save for the white chocolate one. But it's the cakes and pies that makes me drool. My favourite is the carrot cake and apple pie.That said, those pies and cakes are seasonal stuff. Perhaps thats what makes them so desirable. This time I bought their chocolate cake and the new fall fruit crumble. The chocolate cake is moist even after a few days in the fridge. And the frosting is sweet and goes very well with the cake. It taste delicious in room temp or just out from the fridge. The fall fruit crumble is something I adore. I adore the piece of crust that binds the fruits together. It's salty and buttery and smells wonderful. The fruits were abundant and very sweet as well. The packaging is neat.I always look forward to their cakes and pies every week and would check out their facebook for anything new. It's a must try for any dessert and sweet lover. 繼續閱讀

They actually have a name for this cookie. "Haight-Ashbury". It's basically just soft-baked oatmeal walnut raisin cookie.I like soft-baked cookies. This one was a bit too sweet for my liking, and I prefer if it were chunkier. This was a little too evenly soft. Loaded with nuts and raisins, though, which is good value.
