很久以前有去过几次 Brussels，印像中就是喝酒和跟朋友聊天的地方，也没有多去注意他们的食物。最近发现原来他们分别在 Jaya One 和 Setiawalk 的分店都有提供午市套餐，而且是每天供应，连周末都有！我立刻约了某人，打算去试试看了。 Jaya One 的 Brussels 在周末因为少了附近上班一族的加持，所以显得有点冷清。午市套餐的价格为 RM18.50，里面包括了一份主食，加无限量的蔬菜水果沙拉和汤，还有一杯汽水，而且这价格是已经含税的哦，我觉得还蛮合理的。 沙拉台上放了大约有10种不同的菜类和水果，可能因为人不多，所以每一份都是小小的，但是看到这色彩斑斓的沙拉，心情就变好了。 这一天的汤是有点像中式的玉米汤，暖呼呼的喝起来很舒服，但是清澈的汤却是香甜十足，有没有放味精我也说不上来。 轮到主食上场了，午市套餐每一天会有四种不同的主食供选择，今天我选的是蒜蓉酱汁鸡排。主食的份量并没有因为是套餐而缩水，反而我觉得在吃了前菜和汤之后，根本就没有办法吃得完这份鸡排啦！ 鸡排的肉质很嫩，酱汁也很不错，就是略嫌鸡肉腌制得不是很够味，还欠那么一点点。伴菜还有一大堆的厚切薯

Nice ambience for small gathering. After our dinner at the Japanese restaurant opposite, we came here for a beer or two.Ordered a plate of pork slice and 6 full pints of Hoegarden Rose with 2 pints FOC (Total 8 bottles for the price of 6). I'm fairly surprised with the pork slice. As a person who doesn't like pork THAT much, their pork slice was medium fat (Although it looks really fat but when you eat it, you don't feel the fat at all) Seems like the fat just melted in your mouth!Perfect match

Work hard, play even harder. As cliche as it may sound, we do need time to unwind and unload all the stress upon us each and everyday.So we head straight to Brussels for drinks and dinner. We were really lucky that day as so happen it was a Wednesday night, i.e. Ladies Night! Guess what was on promotion that night, our very favorite beer. I passed by this place so many times but fancy not trying the food here. I like this soup because it is thick and creamy with silky texture (definitely not diluted) and full of pumpkin flavour. Roast pork aglio-olio. A pasta with sauteed garlic, chili flake and roast pork. This suits the taste buds of people who likes foods with chili flake. The spiciness is bearable especially for a person like me who can't really take spicy foods. However, the taste is not so impressed but the roast pork is great.

Brussels Beer Cafe is a cafe most well-known for its Belgium beer, in particular the Hoegaarden, Stella Artois and Leffe. However, we went to the branch which located at Jaya One for their set lunch instead of beer. For your information, they are offering four different set lunch menu, namely menu A, B, C and D respectively, with four choices of set lunch in each menu. Brussels Beer Café is place to catch up with friend with the quality of the beer here. cooling and refreshing enough and nice favorite place for many locals to get together for a night out or to catch a few pints before heading back after work during happy hours. At the bar, here serve you best chilled beers with a wide variety of imported quality of the beer. the price is also not that expensive

There are many choices for bites and light dishes of which the seafood quite attracts my attention. I never had the opportunity to order any of my favorite seafood but I did tried the creamy chicken and mushroom toast. Which is unique for you won’t easily get the same thing everywhere else. But if you leave it too long, the toast gets soggy from the cream. Try to savor it immediately once served and I recommend some creamy soup to go with it.

There are other choices like burgers and pies, seafood and chicken. The pork bacon cheese burger was simply a divine. I have never had burger this awesome in my entire life. That’s how good it is. Well the fact that there isn’t much pork burgers served everywhere. Brussels gets the gold medal in this. Not to mention the big portion. The captain came and reconfirmed with us. And she said ” your orders maybe too much cause the portions are rather big. Perhaps you wanna cancel some?”.

Brussels’s style pork knuckle is something that I strongly recommend. Best word to describe is heavenly. But if you are the type that loves pork for those succulent fats please order anything with pork belly. Their pork belly in general is like 50%fat and 50% meat.However, if you like pork in general but dislike the fats, please order pork knuckle. f it’s for a drink, this is a rather nice place. Would be a little noisy for romantic dates, but if your date is a fan of pork, then the music and noise would probably be insignificant. Think Belgium food and he first that comes in mind is probably potatoes. In actual fact, traditional favorites also include mussels, meatballs, and sweet treats like waffles. Most main courses are perfect with beer and famous beers don’t stray far off from hoegaarden, leffe and Stella Artois. For those who don't like drinking, it is still a great place for hanging out as their dishes are pretty amazing too.

Coffee and Ice Lemon Tea. It was a hot afternoon, I decided to have ice lemon tea while my father stuck to his favourite drink which was coffee. The ice lemon tea was filled with 2 slices of lemon to add the sour and tanginess into the drink. The tea taste was strong and the amount of ice cubes was just nice to cool the drink. The coffee was bitter and has strong coffee taste.

Pumpkin soup. My father was around Jaya One area that afternoon, so we decided to meet up to have lunch. We chose Brussels to have our lunch. The soup of the day was pumpkin soup and the presentation was slightly messy as they did not wipe off the excess. The pumpkin soup was powdering and strong with pumpkin taste. The sweetness level was just nice, not bad at all.
