Its been years since my family and I came here for dinner. We came back here out of a sudden because we had the cravings for their famous yet expensive dish - the Pumpkin with Seafood.Its a dish served inside the pumpkin. One evening, my mom decided to bring us out for a treat and she brought us to Loong Foong that is well-known for their seafood. Also rather exurbent price for a regular tai chow place but yet is filled to the brim with customers, especially on the weekends. Every time we come here, the Pork Ribs Rough Noodles never fail to impress us and is definitely in our orders. The noodles are well coated with the sauce and very fragrant too. I am addicted to it the moment it arrived. My colleague also ordered the roasted duck which was a bit too coarse for me. There was also too much duck fat. We ordered our normal stir fried Yao Ma lettuce to accompany our dinner. 

As usual, every time we come to Loong Foong, it is mandatory for us to order the Pork Rib Rice Noodles which is our top favourite. Every part of the noodle is totally coated in the black sauce which is the main reason why this noodle tastes so good. Our other favourite vegetables is the stir-fry yao ma (salad) which is fresh and green. Loong Foong's other signature dish besides the Pork Rib noodles is the Deep Fried Fish Head Noodles. Stir fried celery with sotong. Out of the norm, one of the dining companion was craving for celery, thus this dish was ordered. It came with squid and carrot. The method of cooking was just a simple stir-fried dish, it was quite "qing" and bland. There were some freshness of the squid, there were a lot of squid and big pieces too. This dish was good for those who fancy celery.

Beancurd. When we were dining in a big group, we would order beancurd on top of a vegetable dish. This dish came with peas, Chinese black mushrooms, carrots, button mushrooms, fu chuk stirred fried with the beancurd. The brown gravy was not too diluted, just nice and tasted not too salty. I would say that this was a normal dish and nothing to shout about. I like the ingredients though.

Roast Duck. This restaurant always have the best-selling roast duck of all time during dinner session. The roast duck was soft and it is not hard to bite it off, love the taste. However, one my dining companion said that the skin was not crispy enough and the sauce is not nice. I didn't dip the sauce beacause it has strong 'mien si' (fermented bean) taste which is very salty. Eating the duck alone is enough to satisfy me.

I aint kidding.. though this no-frills restaurant certainly doesn't look much from the outside; whatever that comes out from the kitchen is certainly extraordinary! Contrary to it's name however, the restaurant is most famously known for its' Hong Kong style roasted duck. Even those who do not quite fancy duck meat will have second thoughts after this. This restaurant is very famous for the hong kong style roast duck. There were crowds on most of the days. You will see people parking at road side without consideration, just to get the roast duck. One friend of mine even told me he had actually counted the number of roast duck being prepared for roasting in one afternoon, and the number was almost 200. Loong Foong Seafood Restaurant is famous for their roasted duck. The restaurant is always full of people. The queue of taking away the roasted duck is always long.Their roasted duck was fragrant. The duck skin was roasted till golden brown. It was very crispy and not too oily. The layer of fats was thin. The meat was tender and delicious. It does not have the strong odor smell.

This tofu with minced pork is a signature dish in Loong Foong Seafood Restaurant. It is recommended by the Tauke . The tofu's texture is very soft and silky inside. The outside is abit crispy. The minced pork on top of the tofu is tender and it is not dry and crumbly. The portion of minced meat is generous. This sauce is too salty, however it is perfect blend with white rice.

Yam Basket consisted of button mushrooms, Chinese black mushrooms, cashew nuts, capsicums, baby corn and topped with generously amount of parsley. The texture of the yam soft and a bit soggy. It was not crispy too, maybe it got drown by the gravy of the ingredients. The mushrooms were juicy. The baby corn was crunchy and sweet. However, as a whole, the dish tasted bland.

I still not convinced that I was too busy taking picture of the prawns but didn't raise my camera to the faces staring at it.The whole table was really excited while this dishes arrives. Well we went there during Chinese New Year.Seriously, this Yee Sang has got the most thick pieces of fish of all Yee Sang I had in that particular year.However, the rest of it are just standard.So this going to be a standard Rainbow Yee Sang if it is not the fish, that completes the package.
