The 6th course was Sweet Potatos with Glutinous Rice Ball ginger Soup. I was very happy to know they served my favourite. Further, the glutinous ball or known as tong yuen is with black sesame filling. Love the idea but improvement is required as I would think a stronger ginger taste can spice up the soup very much. When the soup served to us, it was moderately warm only.

The 5th course was stir-fried egg noodles (sang mien) with shredded honey BBQ pork and sesame as topping. I personally find this dish was not to my expectation. It was rather oily and lacked of the frying "fire". Really need improvement on this dish. When the dish served to us, I felt it was not freshly fried and rather cold.

We had braised bean curd with scallop as topping and veg as base made the dish looks precious. The bean curd was wrapped with beaten eggs in order to get the golden colour effect. Despite that, the dish was not oily at all. With a scallop as topping made the dish tasty and sweet. What a healthy dish! Love it for its light portion which made us enjoying it slowly.

Impressed with its table arrangements whereby, there are open dining and partitioned dining for privacy. They have also comfortable modern sofa located at the open dining area. Staff are friendly, pleasant and professional. After the appetizer, we were served the next dish which was Roasted Meat Platter. There were roasted duck, BBQ meat and roasted pork. I enjoyed this dish very much for the right taste and it served non-fatty meat, all lean meat and the roasted pork skin was crispy.

Next for my main meal I have ordered the Roasted Pork Knuckle in Lai Ching Yuen Chinese Restaurant. The outer part of the skin is fry until crispy. Though the pork meat was a bit tough, I enjoy chewing it slowly. The Roasted Pork Knuckle is tasty and I also like the Steamed Cod Fish with Light Soy Sauce and Claypot Rice with Waxed Meat.

Here in Lai Ching Yuen Chinese Restaurant I have order a Double Boiled Hasma with Red Dates drink. The drink was not overly sweet and it has a delightful taste of red dates and the hasma that is often use in Chinese traditional medicine taste a bit weird to me but since it was good for lungs, kidneys, and improving skin complexion, I just drink it all down.

Here in Lai Ching Yuen Chinese Restaurant I have order a Double Boiled Hasma with Red Dates drink. Another healthy dim sum I like is this Steamed Glutinous Rice with Lotus Leave. Although the color of glutinous rice is the original white color but it still flavorful when eat together with the mushroom and beans & nuts inside of it. The glutinous rice is steamed well as it was soft and not too sticky. Besides, steamed with lotus leave is another credit too as you can taste the fragrant smell of lotus leave from the glutinous rice.

Craving for vegetarian dim sum? This is a good place you can have it. It was my first time having vegetarian dim sum as normally when I had is eating a lot of dim sum with meat. This crispy fried yam was wrapped with juicy and fresh fruits salad inside and some crunchy yet healthy almond as topping. Meanwhile, coleslaw with delicious mayonnaise sauce was in the bottom of fried yam. This combination of dim sum is so special and really refreshing me. A credit for the chef.

The Steamed wanton in Lai Ching Yuen Chinese Restaurant is very tasty and I like it. The Steamed wanton is covered with sweet and sour sauce, something which I have not tried before. I usually eat the ones that are slightly salty. The filling inside is also very nice with grinded pork meat.

The dumpling in Lai Ching Yuen Chinese Restaurant is very tasty and I like it. The pork inside the dumpling is soft and tender. The rice was well cook so it was soft and sticky like glutinous rice. There were some beans and also shrimps inside which make it very aromatic.

When we talk about dim sum, usually people will think of fish meat and pork but this time, I had vegetarian dim sum. No fake vegetarian-imitating-meat dish but basically vegetables and non meat ingredient.The deep fried yam ring was awesome, crispy to the max! Combined with natural sweetness of mixed fruits, I must say this was a good appetizer to start your meal.

The deep fried yam ring was awesome, crispy to the max! Combined with natural sweetness of mixed fruits, I must say this was a good appetizer to start your meal.

Another year had passed and CNY is coming. We waved buy to Little Rabbit and welcoming the year of Dragon. This time, we are fortunate being invited for the review at Lai Ching Yuen for their CNY meal.The restaurant is well decorated and they have a few private rooms to serve the customers. There is small one which can accomadate about 4 pax and a big round table for 10 pax. Another year had passed and CNY is coming. We waved buy to Little Rabbit and welcoming the year of Dragon. This time, we are fortunate being invited for the review at Lai Ching Yuen for their CNY meal.The restaurant is well decorated and they have a few private rooms to serve the customers. There is small one which can accomadate about 4 pax and a big round table for 10 pax. The decoration is very nice and making me impressed with it.

We start of our meal with the Prosperity Yee Sang with fresh scallop and mango. The delight comes with raw fish where in Lai Ching Yuen, they serve us with the fresh salmon.Aside, and you may find a mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces and condiments, among other ingredients. When the yee sang is served, the waitress will say some rymthms of good luck and prosperity when serving. The yee sang is also being served with the big chewy Austrian Scallops which is my favorite of all. The pure strawberry sauce with plum sauce is being poured into the yee sang and then it is time to lou. It is a tradition that yee sang which is being "lou" need to say wishes and need to take as high as possible so wishes can come true. I really love the yee sang as the scallops is nice and the sauce pouring in it really makes me fall in love with it.
Price: RM118++ for half portion , RM228++ for whole portion

Next we are being served with Roasted Pork Knuckle. The roasted pork knuckle is not enough to feed us. So you can imagine how delicious is it The pork knuckle is being roasted till crispiness and crusty in the in outside and juicy in the inside. The pork knuckle is very fragrant in smell where we can smell the taste of it when it is being served. The meat is very tender, flavorful, and aromatic, and make for a hearty meal. If, you would like to have this for your meal, book it early about 2-3 days in order to enjoy the speciality pork knuckle.
Price: RM80 per pork knuckle

Steamed cod fish with light soy sauce is another serving we had. The cod wish is being prepared in seperate portions where each of us will get a plate of it. I felt the preparation of the fish is this way really good as we do not need to cut the fish and all of us can sit down and enjoy the nice fish. The portion is good enough for one. The cod fish tasted so fresh, tender and velvety smooth with a hint of natural milky flavour in the palate. What I love the most is there is no fishy smell.
Price: RM38++ per piece
