This is always our regular place to dine in if we ever visit The Gardens Mall on weekends.It has been a favorite of my parents as it offers authentic and tasty Chinese cuisine with a flare of tea infused food, making it even more special and fragrant.However it is best to come early, the tables are usually taken up during dinner time hence be there as early as 6PM. As the saying goes, early bird gets the worm!This time around, instead of ordering dishes we had the ala carte individual rice. We had the Hakka Lei Cha with rice as well as the XO sauce fried rice.Some may afraid that the food will taste bland here as it is geared towards the healthy diet but do not worry. It taste really really good, especially the XO sauce fried rice. It has minced chicken with it, with a slight spiciness from the XO sauce making it the perfect combination ever. We actually ordered two plates of the same fried rice.For dessert, we wanted to try their glutinous ball with soya soup. The presentation was so pretty with flower buds, melt the heart of us ladies. The glutinous ball was chewy and tangy and the soya wasn't too sweet either. The perfect desert to end the meal that night.

The interior design is filled with Chinese style. It's cool and cozy to have lunch or dinner here. Their service is very good. Every dish is cooked with tea. It is a really special restaurant! They also cook with less oil, less sugar, and less salt.Braised chicken with sweet chili is in Lychee black tea, it also comes with fries bun, RM32. It tastes yummy. You can take the fried bun to dip some sweet chili sauce, it's nice.

虽然吃完主食已经很饱了，可是吃下他们家的绿茶雷沙汤圆也不会觉得腻，只是玫瑰莲子糖水吃不惯而已。他们以茶入菜的概念非常地好，想吃好吃的但又要吃得健康，真的可以一尝紫藤茶馆的小菜。虽然做的菜属于淡，可是还是能吃到香味。

A medium size restaurant lot with wooden dining tables & chairs. It has only 2 round tables which can accommodate up to 10 diners. 5 smaller dining tables fit up to maximum of 6 pax and the rest are small dining tables that fits to 3 pax at the most.It is a place for tea lovers & health conscious diners.Their food are simple & affordable in price as well as the portion. They only served green tea rice. Every single dish has the content of tea. Rose Egg Custard, revised cost to RM5, (last seen in Feb 2013 was about RM3+only). It served in a chinese tea cup with cover. Only in my third visit I got to try this wonderful dessert. In my previous visit, the waitress told me that this item is not available daily. I specifically ordered to serve me after my main meal 'cos egg custard is good to consume while it is warm.Taste of tea fragrant but not entirely covered the presence of the egg custard. Texture of the egg custard was indeed smooth & soft. Sweetness level was up to my liking. The portion is just nice for one person consumption.I would give a rating of 9/10.

Purple Cane Tea Restaurant serve varies of dishes cooked with different type of teas. The tea taste blended with the dish perfectly, you can't really taste the tea. However, it's always the best that you enjoy a cup of nice tea after had a full meal.Stir fried lotus root and water chestnut with tea (RM15) is cooked with Long Jing Green Tea. The lotus root is very crunchy and various vegetables are cooked in this dish.Thai-style spicy salsa beancurd in tea sauce (RM18) is cooked with Lychee Black Tea. The beancurd is crispy on the outside and smooth from the inside. The thai chili sauce is very appetizing as well. The peanut on top of the beancurd is definitely a plus to the dish.Steamed slice fish with mashed ginger in tea sauce (RM22) is steamed with Jasmine tea. The mashed ginger is slightly bitter and the fish is not fresh enough. But overall it's still OK.For dessert, we have ordered Green tea glutinous rice balls with black sesame and peanuts, Rose Lotus Seed Paste, Spring Romance Pudding and Cold Winter Jelly. Each of the dessert cost RM 5. I would strongly recommend Cold Winter Jelly. It's cooling in its low profile way.
