Tong Pak Fu (已結業)

this time around tong pak fu has a promotion on all things chocolatethey featured the chocolate snow and also other items such as the chocolate wafflethe chocolate waffle was so big in the picture but really tiny when it was served to usthe waffle also came with two scoops of cookies and cream ice cream and slices of banana which were drizzled with chocolate syrup

this bowl really looks different from the illustration in the menuin the menu it was over flowing with bean curd but in reality it wasn'tthe liquid is soy bean and inside when stirred the bean curd skin and gingko will rise upit is a hot dessert especially good for those who are feeling a bit under the weather

i love all things double boiledthey are so healthythe apple and sea coconut was an interesting combinationthe apple was really soft and sweet although I wish that the sea coconut were a bit larger and not too soft because they kind of remind me of deflated nata de coco

I super love Tong Pak Fu's steamed rice cupcake. The rice cake itself was excellently made- smooth and soft. The star attraction of the dish, though is definitely the crispy, crunchy minced condiments on top. Made up from an assortment of salted preserved veges, minced stir-fried dried shrimp with just the slightest hint of sambal paste, it's super delectable! Goes well with the sweet sauce, absolutely

I used to live in Bangkok, Thailand and Mixed Glutinous Rice Balls in Ginger Tea is HUGE there.. I mean, like really really popular When I came back Malaysia initially it was really hard to find the dessert as most sold here have soy bean milk instead of ginger tea. So big Yaaay! for Tong Pak Fu. There 2 were 2 rice balls with black sesame filling and the other 2 with peanut paste filling. The ginger tea was super refreshing too. yums

I have been having quite a lot of hair loss lately; and have been told that pure black sesame paste's good for ensuring healthy hair regrowth. At least, that's the information I gathered from health magazines and TV shows,lar.. Hey, no harm giving it a try right ? So I decided to sample out Tong Pak Fu's Sesame Cream paste hot dessert. Not too sweet, just perfect. Super loved it!

tong pak fu in klcc is always fullbut the chairs is not very comfortable cause their stools they choose small tables also so that they can fit more customersother places only have a stall rather than a shop lot for themselvesthe beancurd dessert was not that sweet the beancurd was soft and silkyinside they have bits of barley and ginko as wellthis is not only a yummy dish but also a healthy one

Fu Chuk dessert. Tong Pak Fu version of fu chuk dessert came with gingko nut ("bak gor") and glutinous rice ball ("tong yuen"). The addition of tong yuen was unique as this was the first time I tried this combination. The tong yuen was the normal with no fillings inside, it just added some chewy texture to the fu chuk dessert. The bak gor was soft. Overall the dessert was not too thick for my liking.

Mango Snow Ice. The mango snow ice was stacked like a pyramid and I enjoyed eating every layer of it. It was creamy, smooth but not too icy till it numb my tooth. It was served together with the ingredients, jelly, mango juice balls and the bubble ball. The mango juice balls burst the mango juice when I bite on it and added on the mango flavour further. The jelly was normal.

This is one of my favorite hot desserts, ever! Of course, I can easily make this at home myself. But it's just so much easier and fuss-free to have it at my favorite Tong Pak Fu at KLCC ^_^ Normally I will have it after a movie at TGV; because the cineplex can get pretty cold and it really warms the body to have a super healthy yet delicious piping hot bowl of ginger soup.. with chewy sweet potatoes to boot. Love it

I love this so, so ..SO Much It tastes exactly like my favorite mango sago pomelo dessert that I never fail to have at dessert houses whenever I visit Hong Kong. The mangoes are really sweet and fleshy (I wonder whether they use Thai or Philippines mangoes ?) and the pomelo bits really complements the whole bowl perfectly. Every spoonful just kinda melt wonderfully into my mouth. 100% yummy

One day I wasn't feeling too well so went into Tong Pak Fu to get something soothing for the throat that's good for the lungs as well. We went through the menu and the double-boiled series looked tempting. I eventually decided on Double Boiled Snow Pear with Dried Citrus Peel and it was the best decision ever! The citrus peel give the hot tong sui a distinctive sweet-sour taste, and the snow pear's boiled till soft and really good ! I felt much better afterwards..like seriously

Apparently this is one of Tong Pak Fu's best sellers, and it's pretty easy to see why. Ginger's a healthy herb root and has a really distinctive taste that everybody loves. If you're crazy about ginger too like, this is totally a must-have. A bowl of shaved ginger ice topped with delicious ginger syrup and garnished with crystal pearls and grass jelly. Totally yummy

If you feel like something savory for a light snack to complement the otherwise all-sweet desserts; then this is probably for you. For me, it wasn't as spicy as how I would prefer my Curry Fish Balls to be. But granted that this brand came from Hong Kong, the Curry Fish Balls which I ate in Hong Kong was mostly pretty mild in flavor as well :-) It would be so great though if they can just customized it a bit, as most Malaysians love their curry fish balls super spicy hot ;-)

there are so many mango choices here as i am mango lovers. i choose this mango ice snowy and also have the sago on the bottom. taste so sweet. each mango is cut into smaller pieces and the cooling feeling makes me feel so good. environment is nice to chill out here with the nice decoration and simple restaurant to have the desserts and also they have the hot desserts served here
