The mini dumpling, or gao zhi in Tang House of Fishball was just so-so. They do look pretty cute, small and we were able to eat one in a single mouthful. However, I thought that the skin was a bit thick. I would have preferred that pan-fry it longer to get the brown crispiness on the skin. Some vinegar and julienned ginger was given to complement the dumpling, but the ginger was quite meagre. The filling was OK, quite juicy but rather small. I was quite intrigued to see that Tang House of Fishball serves fried porridge, as I cannot imagine how that would taste like. Unfortunately, they only serve it for two people, and I cannot order it for a single eater. Since wifey didn't want porridge, I had to order the homemade porridge instead. The home made porridge was pretty good actually. The porridge itself was smooth, and they added ingredients on top, naturally fish products. When I saw this in the menu, I was pretty intrigued. I have only had fish noodles in steamboats before, so this dish is quite unique to me. I decided to order, and it came pretty quick. The main ingredient was fish noodles, fried to perfection. Full of mouth-bounce and very flavourful, it complemented the pieces of cheong fun well. The cheong fun itself was silky smooth. Wifey didn't know what to order, so I suggested that she takes the lime sour plum. It has been quite hot for the past couple of days, so some lime soup plum should help reduce the heatiness. The lime sour plum drink came in a jiffy. A sour plum was stuffed in a whole lime and marinated with some salt and sugar. To serve, they just poured water and added ice into it. We need to mix it all up to get the perfect flavour of sweet and saltiness. Priced at RM2.50, it was well worth the amount paid.

The soya cincau in Tang House of Fishball is quite nice. The soya bean drink itself tasted quite home made, smooth and full of soya bean taste. It doesn't have the commercialised generic taste to it. I like the fact that the cincau is uniformly cut into slivers of yumminess. Too bad they do not have brown sugar option, else it would be the perfect soya cincau for me. Priced at RM3 for a cold cup, it was a decent amount to pay.

We ordered the fried fish dumpling given that this restaurant's specialty is fishball. The fried fish dumpling served in Tang House of Fishball is quite delicious. It arrived piping hot, and we had to wait for it to cool down first. It is very crispy on the skin and the fillings are very bouncy. Dipped into their chilli sauce, it makes the dish very delicious. We ordered the mini dumplings for sharing. The mini dumplings served in this restaurant consists of 8 pieces per serving. As it was the first dish to be served, it was chowed down almost instantly. I find that the fillings of the dumplings here are quite small compared to its thick skin. I would also prefer it if they were to cook it slightly crispier on the skin. Dipping a dumpling into the vinegar ginger sauce is a perfect complement. This dish costs RM6 nett.

My sister ordered the signature laksa and it arrived in a jiffy. Considering that it is a fishball specialty shop, this bowl of dish naturally has a lot of fishball products in the bowl. The laksa in this shop refers to the Curry Laksa, which I feel they should have specified. This bowl of noodles is quite delicious, flavourful and spicy enough. My only complain about this dish is that it is quite oily and there are not enough coconut milk in the broth. I would also prefer to have some cockles.

This dish is delicious, as the fish noodles are quite firm and bouncy. The dish also comes with beansprouts, vegetables and prawns. For RM7 nett it is very worth it.

This dish is very much similar to the Hakka mee. It's noodles are flat and long. They were well cooked as it was not too soft. They gave a generous amount of minced pork in the dish. Garnished with chopped spring onions, it is quite delicious. Along with the noodles, a bowl of soup was also provided. The soup naturally has a lot of MSG, but its the sliced fishcakes and fishballs which were delicious and goes well with the noodles.

This bowl of noodles costs RM6 nett each.

Asam boi drink. Since the clinic nearby having a long Q, we walked to Tang House of Fishball to have our dinner first. My dining partner was having a sore throat, so he ordered this asam boi drink. The drink was filled with asam boi ("suen mui" in cantonese). It was quite salty and sour at the same time. The drink was not diluted as I still could taste the asam boi. Good.

Tong yuen in ginger soup. Since the last time I tried their tong yuen in ginger soup, I felt in love. I will order it every time I visit this shop. The ginger broth was indeed ginger-spicy, it was thick flavour and warmed up my stomach instantly. The tong yuen was extremely soft and slightly sticky. The black sesame fillings were aromatic and a lot too. Strongly recommended.

Noodle soup. My dining partner was having sore throat that day and could not take heavy flavoured food, so he ordered the noodle soup. The noodle came with fish balls, fish paste, vegetables and hor fun. All the ingredients were very basic and the soup was clear. It has some taste but not salty, good for sick people. The fish balls were springy and nice to chew. Not bad.

Fish paste noodles soup. Since I had tried their signature Hakka noodles before, I ordered the fish paste noodle soup. This bowl of noodle came with fish paste, salted pickled vegetables, ginger, tomato and most important - deep fried pork lard. I could not resist noodles that has pork lard. The soup was slightly lack luster, as it was diluted for my liking. The salted pickled vege was tasteless too.

这还是我第一次吃客家面,客家面的卖相很简单,就只是一碗面,再加上一些调味料,还有鱼饼让你送面吃的。不懂得他们的面是不是自家制的,口感很弹牙,而且调味料也偏向清谈,很健康似的,当然鱼饼也很Q的。
