本來到著名鎰記吃早餐,但誰知當天是他們的工友,沒有開門,我們只好到附近的一家吃魚米線的餐廳坐下來。這餐廳的裝潢10分有味道,像進入了70年代的香港,擺了很多古舊的物品作為裝飾。我們叫了一碗魚肉米線和魚腩米線。最好味的是他的湯頭,奶白色的湯頭,有濃濃的魚香味,好想熬了很久的樣子。米粉的嚼勁也不錯,是一個不錯的配搭。對於我比較吃鍾意吃米粉的人來說,更是喜愛十分。我還配上白咖啡,咖啡香濃,入口很滑,滿足啊。

店面不起眼,位於屋區的最底層,可是卻又有很多人來這裡用餐。尤其是午餐時段,一幫老饕從四方八面來這裡就為了這碗魚頭米。你可以要清湯或者加鮮奶的湯。這裡有鮮魚頭塊米或則是炸魚頭塊,不然也可以來一碗魚肉打成雨醬後捏成的魚滑。魚滑就沒有骨頭咯,滑滑的,好吃。粉里的高湯經過了長時間的熬煮,非常鮮甜,裡面還有酸菜,蕃茄塊等等。米粉吸收了湯汁,吃下去,很美味。最後,把剩下的湯汁全部都悉窣吞進口了。滿足啊〜

Fried fish head noodle at Woo pin is one of the best in town. ;)The fried fish is fresh, without any soil taste and I love to add in home made fish paste, fish balls. The soup is very aromatic with evaporated milk and Chinese wine. But would prefer to have more soup as having it with rice noodle, it easily get absorbed, and not much soup left. Fried onion, salt vegetables and ginger and spring onion add to this lovely dish. Tasty!

来到湖滨鱼头米的的朋友,如果不是很喜欢吃鱼头的话,可以试下他们的鱼滑米,这里的老板很大方,一碗里大约有7-8块鱼滑,鱼滑都很鲜甜弹牙,应该是每天现做现卖的,奶白色的汤也很吸引人,汤喝起来有着浓浓的奶味,里面还有很多番茄和榨菜,汤配着米粉吃还蛮美味的

在周末的时候朋友突然说要带我们去吃好吃的鱼头米粉,然后便傻乎乎的跟上车了,到了目的地之后我才知道是湖滨鱼头米,朋友和我说一定要试下这里的鱼头米,还蛮出名的。所以我就点了这款鱼头米,等了差不多10分钟鱼头米终于来了,还蛮大腕的,这里的鱼肉炸的很香脆也没什么小骨头所以蛮容易吃的,鱼肉也很新鲜和没有泥气,汤也很鲜甜好不错喝,总结来说还蛮不错的

The last day of Chinese New Year, chor 15, went to Jalan Ikan emas,to eat the infamous Fish Head Noodles there. Its almost 3 pm but still crowded there.They use Magnolia brand for making their delicious soup. The Meehoon texture is so springry and thicker than the usual one make it best for fish head noodle. I usually take the fish paste ratehr than fish head because i can't stand the bones, too much.Their chilli also the bomb, so spicy and flavourful. After teh lunch, they also coincidently hav

Woo Pin has carved a name for making one of the best fish head noodle around. They started in very basic setup like a roadside stall and today the original branch in Cheras is no longer at the roadside but moved to a shoplot but it is just a small shop with very basic furniture. Woo Pin has carved a name for making one of the best fish head noodle around. They started in very basic setup like a roadside stall and today the original branch in Cheras is no longer at the roadside but moved to a shoplot but it is just a small shop with very basic furniture. My favourite order is for the deep fried fish head version of the noodle. I find that the fried version although quite cumbersome due to the many bones in the fish, still tasted the best. Somehow the fried slices adds extra taste to the soup. Other ingredients in the bowl were tomatoes which gave it a nice tangy taste, preserved vegetables, generous amount of fried shallots and spring onions, add to this a fair bit of Chinese rice wine and evaporated milk and you have the ultimate blend - wouldn't enjoy it any other way. The soup is usually finished up to the very last drop.

I tried the mixed version as I find the fried fish slices has too many bones which is only good if I have the time to spend to pick them. The soup is heavenly with the taste of wine and milk mixed with their special brew that I find makes it so aromatic. I do find that with less fried fish slices, the soup tasted less flavorful as the fried skin adds flavor to the already tasty soup. The fish slices that are not fried were quite good too but lacks the oomph that I get from the fried version. I still enjoyed my bowl of fish head noodle though as it was still one of the best.

Everytime I visited the famous fish head noodle shop, I would order their Dried Beancurd with Gingko and Barley Dessert (Fu Chuk Yi Mai) because they taste really good. How good? They are usually sold out before 1pm so you have to come early if you want to try it.The beancurd is reduced to bits and makes the dessert taste milky - some do add soya bean to their version and I think here they do not. I could taste the beancurd texture and the dessert was not supersweet which is just fine for me.

I could taste the beancurd texture and the dessert was not supersweet which is just fine for me. There is generous pieces of gingko and barley in it which made their version really enjoyable - they tasted soft and chewy at the same time. Definitely worth trying.
