Sunshine Sunday morning and it was a memorable happy day to my bestie as the newlyweds couple that just sign their papers and officially married in "guai lou" style at Thean Hou Temple . When talk about Pu Yuan Restaurant (炒薯粉小食馆) , I don't really know where it's located and what to eat at these place . My bestie shows me some photo of it but I still have no idea and it's okay because we are heading to there . From Thean Hou Temple to Pu Yuan Restaurant (炒薯粉小食馆) takes about 15 minute only , Since it was her happy day , so nobody gonna fight with the bill , she is belanja-ing Us . hehe Pu Yuan Restaurant (炒薯粉小食馆) is one of the hidden gem in Klang Valley Just beside to SJK(C) Choong Wen , just before the post office junction at Old Klang Road . Not really easy to be found if don't caution it properly .Turn to Left junction Before the Pos office , slow down and try to find for parking , the shop exactly is located on the left build up with plywood white paint on .We reached Here around 11A.M , when she bring us through the small road , I shout at her “Hey, are you seriously about this , you SURE this is the place where we wanted to be , You gonna be kidding me , Gals ” They are fine with rudeness , sudah biasa ....hahaPu Yuan Restaurant (炒薯粉小食馆) serves traditional and delicious Hokkien dishes . It was totally empty when we arrived . because it was only 11AM in the morning . totally no decoration but with air-conditioned and plastic tables and chairs with bright lightings. , you will see their history and hard word from the various newspaper cuttings , media coverage and publications wrote about the place that has been in exist since the late 80’s . Even 8TV’s food program Ho Chak has done a review here sometime ago .The Special Chilli PasteFried Sweet Potato NoodleMarmite Pork Ribs (妈蜜排骨)Fried Chicken with OatmealFried Rice Sticks (Pek Kueh/炒白果)signature Fried Spring RollStir Fry Lettuce Oyster SauceHokkien MeeSince then they have been able to keep their dishes of great taste and quality . Some people may find out the prices slightly expensive , but this probably is not a big deal for foodlovers or their regulars . We love the place and always try to visit it at least once a month .Restoran Pu Yuan (檏苑小食馆)No. 112, Batu 1 1/2, Jalan Klang Lama58200 Kuala Lumpur.Tel – 603-7982 4410Mobile – 012-364 2684 (Mr. Lee)Business Hour – 1100-1500/1800-2200Closed – Alternate Thursdayshttp://eddyrushfatboy.blogspot.my/2015/10/pu-yuan-restaurant-old-klang-road.html 繼續閱讀

It is small restaurant located in the old klang road. We go there to eat dai chao (大炒). The fried sweet potato noodles is quite nice and rich in flavor. The sweet potato noodles is chewy. It is thicker and shorter compared to other restaurant sweet potato noodles. We also tried fried glass noodles. The tastes is not bad. The fried noodles here is just normal.

Pu Yuan Restaurant is a restaurant located along Old Klang Road . This restaurant is serving a wide variety of Chinese cuisines. Pu Yuan Restaurant is popular for their special dish named fried sweet potato flour. I bet all people might also knew this restaurant since it was being featured in 8TV's before.Fried Sweet Potato FlourThis is their signature dish. The sweet potato was deeply fried at first and then the starchy and gravy thick brown sauce was cooked separately, continue by pouring them onto the crispy sweet potatoes. Once they served you with this dish, you can quickly taste the crispy style of the potatoes, it was great. After some time, the potatoes will be soften but, they were still very tasty as the sauce was absorbed in it.Credits to: EVERYDAY FOOD I LOVE 繼續閱讀

This restaurant which is located in an inconspicuous alley off the main road really does not look all that inviting. There is a door at the entrance which was shut all the time and from the external view, this does not help at all.But the place has managed to gain a reputation for good Hakka cuisine, their signature being the fried rice sticks noodle. Today I want to review their Homemade Fried Beancurd which I think is quite tasty too. The beancurd is cut in half into triangular shapes and dipped in batter before being deep fried. Usually I am not keen for fried dishes if they are too oily but they managed to dry most of the oil off or they did an exceedingly good job in making it less oily. And the beancurd was still soft inside so it was such a good feeling biting into each piece. Dip them in the chilli sauce they serve and it completes a great meal. I think the batter they made for the beancurd tastes like five spice powder but not salty. 繼續閱讀
