Being slightly more adventurous than usual, I decided to try out char siew pan mee, instead of my usual pan mee, at a familiar restaurant. The char siew was just regular pork meat with colouring, but it was thick, chunky and very meaty - very lean. Not fatty at all. But it didn't seem to be actual char siew. Taste-wise, nothing fancy - the meat was just normal pork. The rest of the pan mee tastes like I have mentioned in other reviews - pretty decent, and worth having if you have cravings. 繼續閱讀

The dry pan mee didn't seem quite dry because there's a lot of soy sauce at the bottom of the bowl. Taste wise, it was ok but nothing fantastic. They gave quite a fair bit of minced meat and sliced mushroom. The meatballs and egg were served in a separate bowl with soup. The poached egg came to be over cooked but it's still ok. Meat balls are quite standard. The soup it a bit salty. I like the big anchovies to go with the noodles as they add more flavor into the noodles. 繼續閱讀

Original cha cha oan mee is soup basedThe small portion is six ringgit while the large bowl is 7.50You can select the type of noodles either pinched thin or thickI choose the pinched pan mee but when it came it looked like it was sliced rather than hand pinchedBecause the edges of the noodles were so symmetryWhereas a hand pinched pan mee would not have been so perfect 繼續閱讀

The Loh Pan Mee from its name is basically a Loh mee which uses Pan Mee noodles. The gravy is thick, and salted well although I cannot get much flavour from the gravy. The pan mee I ordered is the thick version, and unlike their original Pan Mee, the noodle this time is not as tough and most likely it is because it is soaked and cooked in the piping hot gravy. This dish comes with minced pork and prawns. They provide standard Pan Mee chilli and vinegar to add into the gravy. After adding some vinegar, I found that the gravy is much more appetizing. For RM6.80 for a small bowl, it is pricier than its original version but acceptable due to the added prawns. 繼續閱讀

I was waiting for a friend and decided to try something around the area. Since Andes BYO was not yet open, the next best thing was Cha Cha Pan Mee.A friend recommended this restaurant and it was definitely a good call. What was really memorable were the noodles. It's been a while since I had pan mee so elastic that it literally bounces off my teeth with each chew. The best part is, it does not get stuck between my teeth! To top it off, besides the noodles, I was most impressed with the variety of condiments they had. As a spicy food lover, chili is mandatory when I eat. This restaurant definitely lived up to my expectations.Definitely worth a revisit if I am around the area! 繼續閱讀
