The weather has been really scorching hot these few days and one of the ways to reduce the heat that we are facing is by having ice cream. I walked past Monsters’ Ice Cream the other day and decided to try their fried ice cream.I ordered the green tea fried ice cream with red bean and sprinkles. My sister on the other hand ordered the mango fried ice cream with rainbow jelly and sprinkles. Both cups of ice cream costed RM9. To me I think that it was really worth it! Despite the conventional flavours and pairing, I really find the ice cream delicious and thirst quenching!I got to witness the process of making the fried ice cream and I was really impressed. The portion of the ice cream was quite huge and I felt filling for the first time eating ice cream! To the rest, this fried ice cream might be quite pricey, but I think it was worth every penny. 繼續閱讀

Monster Ice Cream is an ice cream store in Sunway Pyramid that offers a difference dining experience on ice cream as it offers Thai Fried Ice Cream. Monster Ice Cream is said to be the first Thai Fried Ice Cream franchise in Malaysia.Unlike the usual fried ice cream that we see in night markets or bazaar where vendor throw the ice cream puff into boiling oil to deep fry it, Monster Ice Cream fry their ice cream with dry ice. Basically, the staff would pour the flavoured liquid on their “pan” and add some ingredients of your choice to the liquid and start frying it.I ordered two flavours mango with rainbow jelly (RM 9) and coconut ice cream with coconut cookies (RM 9). The mango with rainbow jelly taste incredible to me but to my sister, it had a little anti-biotic taste in it. But, if you can live with that taste, you would definitely want to try the mango ice cream series. On the other hand, the amazing combination of coconut ice cream with the coconut cookies tasted delicious to both of us. However, there’s no doubt that Sangkaya would probably have better coconut flavoured ice cream. 繼續閱讀

I was tempted by a video of a Thai vendor making such ice-cream which infused a lot of real strawberry fruit into a vanilla ice cream. So I thought this shop would provide the same considering they are charging at RM8.90 (minimum price) per cup of ice-cream.I ordered the almond+longan with vanilla ice-cream, SADLY there are only TWO piece longan (from canned) and ONE teaspoon of crushed almond and a dozen of coloured jelly bubble on top. The whole cup of ice cream felt so artificial and compared to a RM9.90 Magnum ice-cream, at least we can choose 3 toppings that are real fruit and more nuts. 繼續閱讀
