We bought one vouchersfrom Living Social offering RM10 for RM20 / RM25 for RM50 Cash Voucher forAll Food and Drinks (SStwo Mall & Plaza Low Yat) at J Kitchen. I heardof this restaurant located in SS2 Mall and now they have opened second outletin Low Yat Plaza. Since working nearby we bought the voucher to try their food.Located at LG floor just opposite Uncle Ben and Hong Kong's Food Culture .J Kitchen is a restaurant that serve Fusion Bak Kut Teh - ACuisine with Combination of Chinese + Western Style. Their menu is quitecreative with the serving from rice to spaghetti topped with bak kutteh/pork/chicken meat and etc.We ordered the set lunch comes with one main course + drinks +desserts. Glad to know that J Tean Kitchen is quite flexible to allow LivingSocial customers to use their vouchers to redeem the set lunch too. The placeis crowded during lunch hour, but serving time is quite fast.Refreshing Red plum juice and lime juice.Dry bak kut teh rice. RM 16.90. Generous portion on the lean pork meat with flavourful gravy of the bak kut teh. Good to have it with the garlic and chili padi.J-Porky Bun (RM16.90). Seasoned pork meat that is perfectly grilled and well marinated sandwiched in between the cucumber, tomato and chopped onions. The longish bun is extremely soft and crispy. The serving is really big and the huge pork patty is enough to be shared among two person.Other fusion style in the menu which is the Lion Head RM 7.90. Three medium size pork meat with a bowl of sweet and sourish vegetables. The pork ball is delicious and juicy.Complimentary mango pudding that is included in the set Roast Pork Bun RM 8.90- The staff recommended this roast pork bun. He choose steam bun for us and need to wait almost 10 -15 minutes for the serving. The bun is soft and fluffy with tender braised pork slices. But towards the end, I find it a little dry taste on the pork meat.Chinese style setting with comfortable seats arrangement. But the service need more improvement in understanding our request and orders.Total bill is just around RM 50 and one vouchers is successful redeemed. Have tried many bakuteh in my life, so this time i went to J Tean Kitchen to try their bak ku teh.The restaurant got aircon and quite clean. The decoration also quite nice.I ordered the pork ribs bak ku teh with soup and 1 more dry bakuteh.The soup have strong herb taste and the pork ribs meat is very tender.For the dry bakuteh, it meet my expectation as well as i like the pork belly season with the salty sauce.

Hubby and I were in SSTwo Mall for our weekly pool game, and since it was dinner time, we decided to pop by J Tean Kitchen for some porky goodness. We decided to order the bak kut teh, as I could smell the aroma everytime I walked past this place. The bak kut teh had very good cuts of meat. The three layer meat, the long pork ribs, the pig's stomach and the mushrooms were stewed in a flavourful but mild bak kut teh soup. A good place to have bak kut teh in an air-conditioned place.

I saw the vouchers selling on groupon, then decided to try it. Not exaggerating, the pork burger is really very nice, it can be considered as one of the most delicious burger that I have ever tried (for this price). The patty is very tender and juicy, I think this is a very important factor for a burger to be delicious. For the Bak Kut Teh, it is very nice too, it has the taste of herbs but not too strong. I can't really describe the taste of the soup, but it really suits my taste, I know it's quite subjective. We also ordered a set of stew pork buns as snack. However it's quite disappointing me. Let's not to talk about the portion of meat inside. The meat is too dry because they should put more sauce inside the buns so that the buns can soak up the sauce. The vouchers also comes with 4 mango pudding. The taste is normal, but as I can eat the fiber of mango inside. So it affected the smoothness of the pudding. I am not very sure how much is the total bill without vouchers because there is no double patty pork burger inside the menu but for the single one, it costs RM7.90. So I guess the total bill without vouchers should be around RM80.

Tried this restaurant on my first visit to SS2 mall. There wasn't any crowd to my surprise and the service was quick and efficient due to that. The waitress was kind enough to give a little intro on the restaurant and recommended some dishes as the menu was quite unique too with several fusion dishes. I had a pork pie western styled all to myself and it was quite filling too with chunks of pork stuffed beneath the crispy crust.
