One of my favorite ever noodles dish from the Fo Guang limited menu is this- the Chinese Herbal Soup noodles. I always ordered vermicelli/bee hoon to go with it because I find that bee hoon actually soaked up the taste of the soup better in comparison with kuey teow or yellow noodles. This herbal soup is definitely really tasty.. with all sorts of herbs in it. Two thumbs up! And at only RM2 too !

I super love this Hot Dessert Soup from Fo Guang as well. Everyone knows that preparing good Hot Black Glutinous Rice Soup is not easy.. pretty tricky actually. If not done properly, the soup can get overtly sticky or mushy. Fo Guang does it just right; and at a super low price charged to consumers too.. at only RM1.50 per bowl. It's best served and eaten piping hot, definitely :-)

Yet another RM2 winner. Words just simply can't describe how much I love the Fo Guang chain of self-service vegetarian outlets. It's so affordable and with the ever-increasing living costs in the city; having Fo Guang around really does help in saving substantially and allowing your hard-earned money to be used elsewhere. Most importantly, it encourages people to be compassionate and eat healthy. :-)

Another hot dessert favorite from the Fo Guang Vegetarian chain. Cheap, healthy and super yummy! It's not too sweet;and basically just full of pumpkin goodness. Fresh pumpkins are juiced and blended and then added with sugar and boiled for hours to create the perfect Hot Pumpkin Soup Dessert. I ordered it as a sideline to my main meal normally, and enjoyed every spoonful.

Again, this is another vegetarian winner from Fo Guang... cheap and affordable. At only RM2 per plate, it's totally worth it. The dish is exactly like the real thing; just minus all the fish paste, fish balls and other meat stuff normally present in curry chee cheong fun. Instead in their place, it's just loads of beancurds and tofu pok; alongside generous doses of white sesame seeds.

Aaah... I have never come across any other shop like this! RM2 for a full meal! I don't think you can find it anywhere else. Being run by a non-profit religious organization (Fo Guang Buddhist Association); they can afford the price because it's done for charity and to encourage people to go vegetarian for health and compassion Here at Bandar Puteri they have nice marbled tables and chairs to boot! You can order chap fan (3 dishes) or even noodles like Curry Mee, Chee Cheong Fun, Wan Tan Mee..

What main meals can you get with RM2 these days? Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai yes, but how about vegetarian chap fan (mixed rice)? Here, you get to choose 3 types of dishes you want with steamed rice. They have pretty many selections, I always go for beancurd, vege and vegetarian fish. For the beancurd, it is lightly braised and absorbed the flavour from the seasonings. Vege was stir fried till the right texture, retaining its crunch and has a light 'vegetarian' flavour which other usual non-vegetaria

Here, you get to choose 3 types of dishes you want with steamed rice. They have pretty many selections, I always go for beancurd, vege and vegetarian fish. For the beancurd, it is lightly braised and absorbed the flavour from the seasonings. Vege was stir fried till the right texture, retaining its crunch and has a light 'vegetarian' flavour which other usual non-vegetarian mixed rice stalls don't usually offer. For those who have vegetarian style fried vege frequently, you will know what I mean ;)

I love the vegetarian fish the most. It comes with soy product wrapped with seaweed, not those flour type that does not give you much nutrients. Sometimes they will cook sweet and sour style or spicy kong pou like style. Both tasted decent.

If you want a light meal that fills your tummy just nice, don't hesitate to give this a try. The shop is located few doors away from Public Bank in Bandar Puteri.
